Lindsey Graham and the Internet Machine

March 08, 2015 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Lindsey Graham has started swooning over Hillary Clinton’s email account.  Bless his heart, he was just all a’quiver about Hillary’s audacious use of that devil’s spawn – email.

lindsey_graham_1Lindsey does not use the email.  Ever.  Never. Without end.  Amen.

He took himself to Meet the Press and announced —

“I don’t email,” Sen. Lindsey Graham (S.C.) said. “You can have every email I’ve ever sent. I’ve never sent one.”

Hell, even my 89 year old mother uses email.  She was reluctant to use the internet for a year or two because she had heard there was pornography on the internet.  We told her, “just don’t look at it.”  That seemed reasonable to her, so she got an email address.   So maybe that’s Lindsey’s problem – he just can’t bring himself to not look at it.

Here is man who wants to be President of the United States of America in 2016 and he can’t use email. Oh Republicans, y’all are so cute!

Be social and share!

Luddites of Congress, unite! Oh, they already have. In the Republican caucus.

  3. I remember in 2008, the McCain campaign kept sending me snail mail designed to look like real genuine telegrams, complete with yellow lined paper, teletype font, etc. “This is an urgent message STOP We need your help now STOP

It would have been a snazzy little advertising gimmick in 1908. In 2008, not so much.

Of course, the Obama campaign had me on half a dozen mailing lists.

Meanwhile, Graham sounds like a damn fool. How nice for his constituents who send him emails using his official email contact form.

  4. Yeah, those Republicans want to lead us straight into the eighteenth century so we can interpret the Constitution in its original context of powdered wigs, slaves, and female chattel.

Lindsey needs to be our next president. In the Inaugural Parade, he can ride in Jack Benny’s Maxwell.

You can email Miss Lindsey and see if it gets answered. He is also not on Twitter and Youtube.

  7. He could be telling the truth. After all he thinks we should live in the Antebellum South circa 1850.

I’m guessing Miss Lindsey won’t accept any blame for what some ghostwriter says Lindsey says.

  9. Typical!!!! I have known so many big shot men over the years who could not and would not learn anything about technology. They had “people” who would read incoming email and respond. And these bozos bragged about having a “girl” who took care of all their email! It was like a status symbol for them. What they never realized or wouldn’t believe is that this marked them out as someone who should never have left the Age of the Skeleton Key. If you have to be out of touch about something, be damn careful what it is cuz it could reveal the weakest part of your anatomy!

  10. A person in his position should own, should dominate, the technology with which they work.

Why is it that so many on the conservative side (I’m trying to be nice here) are so very proud of being ignorant and/or stupid? How is being willfully ignorant something to boast about?

  12. Marcia in CO says:

“Here is a man … ” Oh, fer God’s sake … give us a break!! A man … LOL You have GOT to be kidding!! They ALL revel in their ignorance and parade like proud peacocks over their total ignorance of ANYTHING!!

Listen, writing and publishing and marketing is a dang lot of work. Oh I forgot. He has staff.

Repugnants think that ignorance, or plausible deniability, makes them look virtuous. Anyone with half a brain can see through that charade. It makes him look devious.

Wait a minute. Graham served in Iraq as a reservist on active duty for short periods during April and two weeks in August 2007, where he worked on detainee and rule-of-law issues. He also served in Afghanistan during the August 2009 Senate recess. Since then, Graham has been assigned as a senior instructor for the U.S. Air Force JAG Corps. He also serves as an Air Force Reserve appellate judge. I think he is not telling the truth if Graham claims he has “never sent an email”.

  18. AlanInAustin says:

We can at least be thankful that Graham isn’t a position requiring knowledge of the world around him. Think of the damage such a Luddite could do…

But if he needs to catch up and get more modernized, my 85yo MIL will help him. The only negative will be that he has to go to her nursing home.

If you want to know about Lindsey Graham, read “A Rose for Emily” by William Faulkner.
If you want to know about Southern low-info voters in general, read “The Sound and the Fury”, also by Faulkner. Pay especial attention to the last section of the book. You will recognize them.
