Stinkweed
Okay, this will make you think twice before enjoying a little marijuana.
I was driving through Fayette County today on my way home from Austin. Yes, I was at Hruskas when I happen to glance over and notice this on the front page of the fabulous Fayette County Record newspaper.
Fayette County Narcotics Deputy Randy Thumann and his canine partner, Lobos, found nearly 1,500 pounds of marijuana in the tank of a septic vacuum truck stopped on Interstate 10 Wednesday, Jan. 28.
Trust me – that’s all you want to know about this story.
Now that is a new and innovative way to move products around. Nobody’s likely to bother them. How did the dog and his handlers manage to find it?
1Gives a whole new meaning to the question “You gonna smoke that s**t?”
2“Man, that was some good sh!t”!!!!!!
3The dealer should be charging a premium. His product is right up there with cat poop coffee: http://catpoopcoffeeinc.com/what-is-cat-poop-coffee-aka-kopi-luwak/

5There’s good $hit and then there’s good $hit. The Malinois can tell the difference.
This definitely has potential as one of the more interesting discussions in the Salon.
6Hey, my septic guy says he cleans his tank out very thoroughly, thkuvrymch.
Lobos the snifferdog needs a special medal (and treats) for that particular job assignment.
Glad to see JJ takes the scenic routes through some of my favorite places with the nicest people (outside the voting polls anyway). That whole ‘diamond’ roughly between Colombus, Bay City, Castroville, and somewhere east of Austin (~centered on ~LaGrange) is unappreciated, IMO; pastry, BBQ, etc…
7Time for the defendant to pack it in, drive that skunky tanker on up to Colorado, and with just a little bit of black paint change the lettering on his truck from A-1 Portable John Service to the now legal-in-Colorado A-1 Joint Service.
8That beautiful dog must have been trained to root out more than run-of-the-mill $hit. Good Boy!
9Thanks, I think I’ll just grow my own.
10I’m surprised the dog lived.
11Sandridge-does LaGrange really have a lot of nice looking girls as per ZZTOP?
12e platypus onion @12–
Have no idea what ZZ might have to say about anything (I’m a R&R fan from gradeschool in the ’50’s when it started, but don’t care for Zz one note; more an Eagles, Heart, Buddy, Valens, Marshall Tucker, Dire Straits etc., type, and many other forms of music).
IMO though, Ja. That general area was largely settled (after the NA’s and Spanish/Mexicans) by Germans, Czechs, Polish, Scandinavian, many others, tending to Northern Euros.
13Probably a higher percentage of buxom blue-eyed blondes than elsewhere, so I may be biased a little :] . I used to drive through La Grange often, same stats.
(on my German maternal side the older ones all spoke German at home and family gatherings. I heard it regularly spoken, even publicly, in New Braunfels until about a >decade ago (I was there much more often)).
