Welcome to The World's Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc.
My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
I did bit of research and nowhere amidst the briefs and arguments put forth by hOBby Lobby did I find the organization demanding that they not have to fund vasectomies or Viagra. Did I just miss that part?
1@Deb … nope, you didn’t miss anything!!
2Are you serious? They are against birth control for women but not for men?
3Hmmm. I remember certain hospitals that absolutely refused to do vases.
4Guess why I’ll never go in a Hobby Lobby ever again?
5I’m very glad I live in NYC, where there is no Hobby Lobby, no Chick-Fil-A, and few RWNJs. The only time I’ve ever set foot in Walmart is when elder sister in NJ asked me to accompany her to buy a bathing suit before she took a cruise. I rarely even go to Whole Foods, and there are two within walking distance of home. I prefer to support my local merchants, and do.
6Zyxomma, my wife and I shop at the local union supermarket and support our local stores every bit as much as we can. But we live in a community where all our needs are not met, so we also shop on-line and every few months adventure into the nearest city that can meet those needs. We would never shop Walmart, ever. But one store we like happens to be in the same complex as Sam Walton’s dishonorable spawn’s monstrosity, so we receive a view of the cars parked there. We feel for the families trying to subsist who have no choices, but to shop the low price and lower quality store. But it sure is confusing to observe the SUVs, Hummers, and other Republican vehicles parked there to buy inferior goods, when they do have choices.
Republicans choose quitter socks and droopy draws. Free-dumb.
