2I didn’t read the entire Platform but I believe the reason for it’s disappearance is because of this “Plank”:
Knowledge-Based Education – We oppose the teaching of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) (values clarification), critical thinking skills and similar programs that are simply a relabeling of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) (mastery learning) which focus on behavior modification and have the purpose of challenging the student’s fixed beliefs and undermining parental authority.
This seems to be the one that got them in how water nationally.
All in all I think they should shout the entire platform from the rooftops. It is just about the most ridiculous thing I have ever read.

3A little heavy on the smug for my contrarian tastes. While a good deal more literate than its counterparts, it is not my experience that the Democratic platforms and the populist planks get any more respect from the powers that be in that party either. Prole beer all around!
4Party platforms in many Western countries are often a Wackaloon Wish List. I used to see the same kind of nonsense in the UK with the Labour Party and the Conservative Party. The Labour Party platform would waffle about union rights, defense spending cuts and rail against imperialism. The Conservative Party one would be chock-full of mean-spirited nativism, calls for a return to The Golden Age, and vague slurs about The Undeserving…wait a minute…the deja vu floods over me…
