We’ve talked about Ronna Romney McDaniels, the head person at the Republican National Committee, here at the beauty salon many times. What the woman lacks in IQ posts, she more than make up for in lavish self-centered spending.
According to the Republican National Committee’s FEC report, all of these expenses were charged to Ronna McDaniel’s RNC credit card. That sweetie is living well on the RNC’s dime – hair and makeup stylist, limos, rent, utilities, groceries – even dry cleaning. Quite an aggressive interpretation of what’s permitted despite the prohibition on the personal use of campaign funds.

Well this is weird.
You have on 9/23 Tump hotel for $368.06 in NY. Actually that seems light if you ever stayed in NY.
Same day United airlines of $114. That seems light. Certainly not a cross-continent ticket unless you cashed in about 30K flyer points.
Same day UBER for $4,769.99. In San Francisco! WTF? Did she take an Uber from NY to SF?
Actually all charges are same day.
Nothing fishy here. No auditor needed no sir.

But what I find totally bemusing; the Office Supplies category. With purchases from:
CVS Pharmacy / Giant Food / Instacart / Papyrus / Restoration Hardware (?!?) / Rolands Grocery / Smathers & Branson / Target
…with charges ranging from $10.99 to $132.
What? Nobody leaves town with note pads and a fistful of pens? They have to run to the drugstore at 9:00 PM for Post-It Notes? Or is it Office Expenses every time the staff gets a couple bags of chips or a case of water? And what in God’s name did they buy at Restoration Hardware? Most of all, does no one on staff know where to find a Staples or Office Depot?
It sounds like a convenient slush fund category to me. For stuff like toothpaste, lipstick, other small personal items that somebody forgot to pack, and should be paid for with personal funds.
But hey – not our Party, not our problem.
7PS – I clicked on Smathers & Branson, which turns out to be purveyors of incredibly tacky needlepoint golf hats, fobs, can cosies, etc. So I’m guessing some kind of staff award or something.
This woman can spend money, but she sure doesn’t know how to shop.

10I refuse to google it, but I’m remembering a previous RNC chair, Michael Steele, who got in hot water for charging some kind of porn-related expenses (in Toronto?). He has since landed a cushy gig pontificating on MSNBC. I’m sure Ronna will be fine, too.
