30 Million is a Real Big Number, Mitch

July 02, 2012 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

It is estimated, even by Republicans, that 50 million Americans are uninsured.

When Fox News, his friend, ask Senator Mitch McConnell (R, State of Delusion) what about the 30 million – Fox errs on the conservative side in every way possible – uninsured, McConnell replied, “Let them eat cake,” while proceeding to grab the cake off the table and running out the backdoor stuffing pieces of pastry into his pockets.

“That is not the issue,” Sen. Mitch McConnell said. “The question is how to go step by step to improve the American health care system. It is already the finest health care system in the world.”

While there are those who would argue that America is not the finest health care system in the world, let us not forget that no matter how good it is 30 to 50 million people can’t participate.  Mitch McConnell has government health care and a whole bunch of cake in his pockets.

Our friend Cary sent a darn good explanation of the ACA from the Henry J. Kaiser Foundation that’s about 9 minutes long.  It’s non partisan even though it doesn’t mention the known Republican fact that the damn sky is falling.  Again.

Every time I see his face, I just think he needs to get l.a.i.d (sorry Momma!) over and over (I mean a lot!) until the bluebonnets start ringing, they are so like little bells–then, maybe, with the sound of natures joy, and that color that makes your heart sing, his Grinch like heart, would melt just a bit–it’s a dream–but it works for the bonobo chimps–anytime anyone gets upset-hey, it’s s.e.x for everyone! And the tribe flourishes!
We are just about out of options with this unfeeling charlatan of a human being–god willing he will learn compassion–but I don’t think so

Mitch is correct (to say “right” is redundant). He has the best health care in the world. As a government worker he has the best benefits taxpayers can provide for their elected officials even thought they can’t get it for themselves. If Mitch was stuck like we are he certainly would be singing a different tune. Elise, he needs more than a good lay, he needs colonic irrigation.

He looks like a turtle but that’s said in the kindest possible sense.

  5. Sam in Kyle says:

We’re not even in the top five as a health care system. Our costs, ob outcomes, prevention rates are all way down the list. Other countries have figured out out how to deliver better outcomes for a fraction of the cost that we pay. To be fair, they don’t have the AMA and GOP running the show which makes the job much easier.

  6. We are not #1. Great article on CNN about this delusion we have. Until we can get past that, we will not advance. The world is leaving us behind.

You ain’t got nothin’, Mitch, if you have wretched infant mortality rates. Ignoring 30 million fellow citizens is piss poor representation. I like turtles. I don’t much care for Mitch.

Mitchy-Mitch was not actually responding to the question, just repeating the Republican talking point. That’s what they are brain– I mean trained — to do in Republican Candidate School when presented with a question that might be embarrassing to answer truthfully.

  9. Mama. please leave the room. I live in Kentucky. My opinion on either of our Senators runs something like. !!#$^^^^&a$$$hol#$& (*&^%%&%$%##@#. Damn fools, both of them. Should be run outta town on a rail, tar and feathers come to mind. For starters.

  10. Lindy, tar and feathers would be far too high an honor.

(sort of stolen from M. Twain)

  11. I”m from Kentucky too, and we are one of the fattest, most low-income, low-education states in the country. Which goes a long way towards explaining why we have Urtle the Turtle and his delusional sidekick Rand Paul for our Senators. Mitch was right…30 million uninsured people isn’t the point…if your plan is to ignore questions and spit out Republican talking points du jour. Getting that venom out there for the public is the point.

  12. 30 million uninsured Americans is not an issue for Mitch. Making Obama a one-term president is his #1 issue. He said that right after the inauguration and he has not deviated from that goal. Of course it’s not a goal that’s compatible with what’s best for America, given that he opposes any and every thing that Obama suggests– if Obama said that puppies and kittens are cute, Mitch would jump up and scream that they aren’t– so I’d have to say that he does not have our country’s interests at heart and ought to be punted out of the Senate as high as someone with a good toe can kick him.
