Trump just blamed that ABC (which is owned by Disney), saying it has a double standard in firing Roseanne. And that they did it because they hate him.
No, they did it because they like to make money.
Trump should be blaming free enterprise and capitalism.
Yeah, Republicans are going off the rails because ABC has given a new contract to Keith Obermann (doing sports) and Roy Reid. Oh, for Pete’s sake.
Do whatever it is you do to prepare yourself for crazy crap.
Roseanne Barr says that something made her do that crazy butt tweet.
“It was 2 in the morning and I was Ambien tweeting-it was memorial day too-i went 2 far & do not want it defended-it was egregious Indefensible,” she wrote.
Okay, beside the fact that I seriously doubt that Ambien makes you a racist. I mean, like a million people take Ambien and it didn’t make them racist. Plus, what the hell does Memorial Day have to do with it? I mean, is she saying, “Look, I had to deal with all these dead soldiers and stuff.”
Thelma says she doesn’t know why they cancelled Roseanna. Thelma thinks it would be a wonderful opportunity to just take her off the show.
Rename it to: Hey Y’all, John Goodman Is On TeeVee! and everybody would watch.
Replace Roseanne with Tom Arnold and have it be about a gay couple.
Replace Roseanne with Rosie O’Donnell. She’s funny.
Oh hell, here’s the best. Replace Roseanne with Wanda Sykes, who was the main writer anyway, and have a biracial couple really piss off Trump.
Personally, I am waiting for someone to defend Roseanne by saying, “Well hell, Bubba, I took me some Ambient once and woke up to find Klan robes in my closet. It can happen to anyone.”
Yep, Ole Louie just can’t seem to follow up on his promises.
In June of 2015, Louie Gohmert promised to donate $2,500 to the victims of the church shooting in Charleston, South Carolina. He made that promise because the shooter, Dylann Roof, shot and killed nine black churchgoers at the Mother Emanuel AME Church in Charleston. Roof had a “manifesto” touting that his racism was inspired by Earl Holt of the Council of Conservative Citizens.
That same Earl Holt donated $1,200 to Louie’s campaign. All 11 Republicans who had hungrily taken money from Holt promised to donate it to charity. Louie, whose racism is only surpassed by his sanctimony, took on a game show host persona and loudly promised to donate twice that amount.
He, of course, never donated the money and never had any intention to.
In February of this year, Think Progress contacted Louie’s office and asked about the donation. They reported:
That changed after ThinkProgress contacted his congressional office to ask about the missing donations. On Feb. 20, four days after our first query, the congressman’s campaign committee cut two checks for $625 each for the Charleston victims, FEC filings show.
That’s only half the promised money and that’s not all:
There is no record to date of the charities having received the money.
And it’s not even clear if the two charities ever received the donations shown in the FEC filings.
“We don’t have it,” Palmetto Project executive director Stephen Skardon Jr. said. “I can’t imagine they would have made it up. That is our address, but we simply don’t have a record of (receiving) it.”
Emanuel AME Church did not immediately respond to questions about whether it received Gohmert’s donation to its Mother Emanuel Memorial Foundation.

Republican Representative Diane Black is running for governor of Tennessee.
And, oh dear lord, she has things all figured out.
Especially this stuff about school shootings.
During a meeting last week with local pastors, Black raised the issue of gun violence in schools and why it keeps happening.
“Pornography,” she said.
“It’s available on the shelf when you walk in the grocery store. Yeah, you have to reach up to get it, but there’s pornography there,” she continued. “All of this is available without parental guidance. I think that is a big part of the root cause.”
Bless her heart, I think Diane has been “reaching up” too much.
In response to her racist tweets, ABC has announced that they canceled Roseanne Barr’s teevee show.
I will defend freedom of speech to the day I die, but with rights comes powerful and awesome responsibility.
Roseanne is free to say whatever she wants as long as she understands there are consequences to what you say.
And notice that her apology only came after Wanda Sykes withdrew as writer/producer and sponsors started dropping out.
Quit giving voice to racism. Quit making it okay.

He’s a Republican, which means he cannot spell. There are misspelled word all over his bus. You can hate and you can spell. In Georgia, it’s just one or the other.
So, here’s the best part: Williams was parking his bus all over Georgia in the parking lots of Cracker Barrels eateries.
But, apparently they are not that Cracker.
They told him to leave. Specifically, they said:
“We are not sponsoring this event or supporting Mr. Williams’ campaign stops in any way, and per our company policy, we will not allow him—or any political candidate—to host an event on Cracker Barrel’s property,” they said. “We take pride in showing our communities and our country that the hospitality we practice is indeed welcoming and inclusive to all.”
By gawd, what has this world come to if you can’t be a racist on Cracker Barrel’s parking lot in Georgia?
