Two top veterans of President Obama’s campaigns are asking political campaigners to pay $5,000 per person for the chance to learn their secrets and then work for five weeks in an unpaid campaign job somewhere in America.

Yeah, it’s Jeremy Bird doing his damnest to turn Democratic politics into WalMart.

He also owns Battleground Texas (where they fight each other) and Ready for Hillary (where they openly admit that they want you to collect emails and phone numbers for them so they can “sell” them to Hillary if she decides to run).

When you put politics in the hands of people who want to get rich off of free labor, you’re might as well try to make honey out of pig poop or go on and elect the Tea Party because that’s what they want, too.

Worthless as corn flake recipes.   I’ll tell you something  – I’d rather have a four card flush than these guys.

Progressive Texans don’t know whether to laugh our butts off or to be totally mortified.  Mostly, we’re pretty damn mortified.  Here’s what the Texas Democratic Party does.  We train them for free and pay them to work and get experience.   You know, like American do.

If you don’t have time to watch this whole thing, at about the 5 minute mark he refers to our President as “a foreigner born in Kenya.”  At the 7 minute mark, he talks about “foreigners” from England and Australia who say we shouldn’t have guns but America has … you guessed it, liberty, adding “we don’t care what you foreigners do from England.”

Yeah, screw the Magna Carta!  This is Texas, dammit.

This starts with the fact that “Barclays and Deutsche Bank more than a dozen hedge funds avoid paying more than $6 billion in taxes.”

They can do that by reincorporate overseas, using a loophole to pay fewer taxes.  They call it “tax inversion,” because that sounds much nicer than tax evasion, which is what it really is.

“These banks and hedge funds used dubious structured financial products in a giant game of ‘let’s pretend,’ costing the Treasury billions and bypassing safeguards that protect the economy from excessive bank lending for stock speculation,” Sen. Carl Levin (D-Mich.), chairman of the subcommittee, said at a news conference Monday.

And this ends with Barclays using some of that tax inversion money they saved to invest in their Loophole Ace, Texas Republican Congressvarmit Jeb Hensarling, a man with an uncanny resemblance to Alfred E. Neuman.  Deutsche Bank also tossed money his way.  Jeb is the Chairman of the powerful House Financial Services Committee.

He represents area that starts in Dallas and then heads directly east.  It has half a million people in it with a median income of $42,000 a year.  So, I suspect that not a lot of those constituents have hedge funds.

Florida has a 48 year old guy named Joseph Carl who drinks a tad too much.  He rear ended a woman at a stoplight, got out of his truck, and banged loudly on her driver’s side window.  She, naturally, was frightened and drove off.

Only problem was, Ole Joe didn’t put his car in park before he jumped out to holler at a woman who had the audacity to stop at a stop light when he had places to go and things to see.

He got run over by his own car.

The truck rolled into Carl. A police report says he was taken to the hospital where he was treated for fractures in his hand and foot.

He’s charged with DUI and DUI property damage. It isn’t known whether he’s obtained a lawyer.

Nor is it known if he’s sobered up to know he’s an idiot.

Rutherford County, Tennessee. Angela Scruggs is 37 years old and has a permit to carry a weapon.

So when some dude asked her to stop speeding in the WalMart parking lot, she was ready to defend her constitutional rights.

Jason Hill, who called the police, told officers that Scruggs actually pointed the weapon at him when he asked her to “slow down.” He then told Scruggs that he would call the police. He said that Scruggs told him, “I don’t care, I got a carry permit.” A witness told responding officers that Scruggs told Hill that she would shoot him.

She was driving an Altima but only because the dealer wouldn’t mount a machine gun on her Ford.
