Saturday Night Thoughts

February 17, 2018 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

I’ve been block-driving all day.  We use the Voter Activation Network to plot out where Democrats live in my county.  I drive, Bubba jumps out and goes to the front door and tries to get votes.

So, if you know anybody who lives in Fort Bend County or in CD22 (Currently held by Pete Olson) please ask them to vote for Hazel Dorine Lundy for Democratic County Chair.  It’s important.  The current chair has mood swings that are going to sling her into low earth obit one day, plus she won’t let the county executive committee see the financial records because, as she admits, they are “a mess.”

And …

Sri Preston Kulkarni for Congress, CD22.  He is endorsed by both the AFL-CIO and the Houston Chronicle in a five-person primary race.

I’m going to take tomorrow off to rest up because early voting starts next week in Texas.

Be social and share!

  1. Go Sri!
Also, I can’t pass up a chance to give a holler for Beto O’Rourke. Saw him again recently in Beaumont. Anybody who hasn’t heard him should check him out. In person if you can. Online otherwise. He’s the real deal. If anybody Democrat can beat Cruz in Texas, I think it’s him.

  2. I wish you in Texas all manner of success in the upcoming election from early voting onward.

  3. Thanks for the heads up for County Chair. I wasn’t sure. And I had already sussed out Kulkarni for CD 22. When I heard Jordan Klepper of The Opposition was interviewing him, I figured he was the real deal. !!

    Dear Miss Juanita,

Your friend, Mr. Kulkarni (sounds like an Irish name) is HAWT!

  5. Done, and done.

Send money to Beto! Beto needs round the clock data entry on the VAN, places where full time campaign workers can stay, other ways to help. I want a Beto sign. Ditto to Derrick Crowe to replace Lamar Smith. A barely Democrat has lots of public coverage but we don’t want him in office. Just vote for Derrick and give $$ or stamps or pizzas or Sharpie pens or ask how you can help. He is a lifelong Democrat and is HONEST and hardworking. He’ll fight the Trump agenda. He’s in favor of Medicare for All, a fair economy and will do what he can to protect us from climate change.
    Love, Marge
Did I get that right? Take 4×6 cards and pens to your meetings and get people to write personal notes to your legislators.
