Yo, Dude!

December 18, 2015 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Steve Katz, a Republican New York assemblyman does not want marijuana legal, even for medical use.  He has opposed it every time it’s come before the assembly.

Screen Shot 2015-12-18 at 12.52.47 PMHe’s a good family value Republican and Tea Party member, Steve is.

Until he was stopped by a state trooper for speeding and they found marijuana in his car.

He was fined $75 and ordered to perform 20 hours of community service.

… he reversed positions and voted in favor of another bill to legalize medical marijuana in New York state. Katz explained his earlier vote as the result of a “divergence between the will of his district and his core beliefs.

Kinda makes you wonder who has core beliefs.

Thanks to Larry for the heads up.

    “Roll another one
    Just like the other one
You’ve been holding on to it”

  5. The only surprise is that there wasn’t a scantily clad young man in the car as well.

Katz’ core belief, of course, is that he’s entitled to ignore the rules–they’re for other people.

He is one of many family value, Teagagger Rightwing aholes who remember “do as I say, not as I do” preachings from their youth.

These [UNPRINTABLE] politicians. I wish more of them would vote their core beliefs. We elect them to their offices presumably because we trust their judgment. If they make enough of us unhappy we probably won’t vote for them again and since they don’t seem to be able to get a real job, they worry and fret about getting re-elected. Humbug!

  8. WA Skeptic says:

The problem I see is that if they tell us what they really believe, we won’t vote for them. Works for me, but not for them so much.

  9. Another old, white teabagger Hypocrite. Oh dear, that’s a redundancy isn’t it. So, let’s compact it to OWTH.

Like an apple that has lain in the fruit basket far too long … the core turns rotten! All brown and mushy … just like the rest of the apple … rotten to the core!!

Their “core values” draw fruit flies!

  12. The only reason our draconian marijuana laws exist is to fill for-profit jails with black kids. most whites aren’t prosecuted under them if they have enough money.

Their function is to tip the scales even more in favor of the jerk class.

    12
  13. Was the $75 and 20 hours quid for quo for vote reversal?
Otherwise it was typical old white men’s privilege.

Oh! You people are so mean! Stevie was just “evolving” on the medical marijuana issue and was doing research on it’s medicinal effects. It’s awful how his car, er, laboratory was disturbed by nosy law enforcement personnel. I hope he can pursue his future research on gay relationships without this invasive harrassment. Go Steve!
