Yes, He Really is Trying to Steal the Election

November 20, 2020 By: El Jefe Category: 2020 Election, Trump

You can say one thing about Donald Trump.  He commits his crimes in plain sight of the American people.  He fires officials who dare disagree with him; he fires officials who tell the truth; he engages in quid pro quo using the full force of the federal government for is own personal gain.  He engages in nepotism, daring anyone to challenge him; he lies when it’s easier to tell the truth.  He’s now decapitated the Pentagon, putting his loyalists in place most certainly there to either destroy evidence or stonewall investigations of Trump’s malfeasance.  AND, at this hour he has Michigan legislative Republicans in the WH to twist their arms to subvert the Michigan election and throw their electoral votes to him.  So let’s be clear here – Trump and his merry band of criminals knows there’s no voter fraud in the election.  They have failed in all the swings states where they have alleged fraud.  Now that those efforts have failed, Trump is now just trying to steal the election by convincing (bribing) Republican state legislatures to disenfranchise their own constituents and throw the electoral count to him.  In a word, Trump is instigating a coup against the new President, Joe Biden, who has been duly elected in both the majority of voters and electoral votes.  He’s doing that because he’s staring at a long stretch of hard time once he loses the shield of the presidency.

Trump has bent, broken, ignored, and subverted so many laws, regulations, traditions, and customs that nothing is normal.  He understands nothing but brute force, doesn’t give a shit about the Constitution, and doesn’t care if you live or die.  This is all about Donald Trump and only about Donald Trump.  If you don’t like what you’re seeing, here’s John Cornyn’s and Ted Cruz’s phone number.  It’s long past time they should have gotten off their fat asses to do their Goddam jobs, but I’m certainly not holding my breath.

John Cornyn – 202-224-2934

Ted Cruz – 202-224-5922

    But…..isn’t all this entertaining clickbait?

Isn’t this the bed we’ve been making for fifty years?

I have been on Cornyn’s and Cruz’s case for years, email after email, call after call, and all I ever get from them is condescending “There there little lady…” answers and brags about what they’re accomplishing in the name of Holy GOP. I quit for awhile sometimes because it’s wasting my time, raising my blood pressure to dangerous heights, and living at that level of rage isn’t good for my spirit, either. But yes, I will call them again, and no, they won’t act to honor their oaths of office or help.

Trumpf is seriously a mentally ill person in the office of the potus. We all know that. He is not excused for his actions to overturn the voters- 80 million of them. 80 million. He’s still trying. But he’s sick. Literally sick.
The repugnantican party is responsible for letting this go on. He can’t help himself, but if the majority of the repugnantican party stepped up and condemned him, this would be over. But they’re enabling him.
Trumpf is looking to reach out to other states- their states. While Brian Kemp said Georgia would certify their vote, he opened the door for another recount and lawsuits. He could have closed the door on Georgia, but he just can’t go through with it. We can never forget what they’re doing to our democracy with long term ramifications.

  5. And because the unbiased, non-partisan justice department hasn’t lifted a finger to deter what is blatant election interference, and completely rejecting the will of the people, precedence is being strengthened.
That’s what his lawyers will claim if sincerely unbiased prosecutors take up the cause. There’s tons of that kind of precedence if it’s accepted by the courts. The more outrageous the ignored actions become, the stronger the precedence for less egregious actions, the way I see it. So the next logical step is inciting political violence. Scott Atlas and Louie Gohmert are getting that ball rolling on the national level with no one to stop it. As already stated, f**king trump’s doing his best to put loyalists in the jobs to keep the ball rolling, instead of upholding the Constitution. Two months.
    We live in interesting times.
Personally, I could do with some serious boredom.

  6. Sorry, gotta go now. Soooo Sorry if you thought differently.

Headline: Michigan Republicans throw cold water on Trump’s hopes to steal the election from Biden

Edit: We used our time in the White House to deliver a letter to President Trump making clear our support for additional federal funds to help Michigan in the fight against COVID-l9. We have since sent the same correspondence to congressional leaders.

PP #5 – I would like to join you in your boredom! I was so elated on the Saturday that Biden was confirmed by enough to win. But these last two weeks has been death by a thousand cuts! I used to try to be grown up and think Justice over revenge. But this has sent me straight in revenge mode.

  8. The Republican plan becomes clearer:
    * Gerrymandering to ensure that a Republican minority controls the state legislatures.
    * Push distrust of the voting process to prevent voting results from being formally certified.
    * Have the state legislatures select the next President.

Throw in disinformation served up every day in social media feeds, and victory is theirs.

if ya didnt relize, this kind of crime,is how corprate America is. authoritarian and only legal money will test it,in private..trumps ideal was to show Americans how we work and get rich.now you relize this is how slime is,and how the people who decide your well being and freedoms see your needs, over their profit.they dont work, they made a livng with prior counterparts to steal wages from profit, and shove it deep into their pockets. we call trump corrupt, and his lackeys..but its been this way since the inception of lewis powell and ALEC. we work, and ignore because we worry about how we smell. cheap eh? try reading, out side the social media grind, and find, we have been silenced for a,long time..the public airwaves lack any air of voices that speak out..the very google who got its start,by our consitution should be the very vehicle to deny corruption and people like trump who demand, over those who do the work. economic slavery, and thats what we voted for..social media is supported by this slime, and it only shutters our voice, outside in public..

  10. How about we do a recount in North Carolina, just one county that had under 25% for Biden & is right next to a blue county.

    10
  11. Keep on keeping on. This is the last quarter of a decathelon. We are going to make it. I agree we don’t need nor warrant this kind of **ap we are getting now after four years of the same. But hold on with whatever you’ve got for a hold. The Golden Gibbon and his Court Jester are failing. They tried to mess with Wayne County in Michigan and got their fingers burned badly. The fact that they decided to pick on such a powerful county tell you in upper case letters just how stupid they are. The GG just isn’t that smart. Vain and Cruel to the max, but brilliant? Nope! And the part free range chicken/mad March hare a/k/a Guilianni are going down and they know it,hence the harebrained TV appearances. They aren’t getting anywhere in court as judges throw them out the door. Besides trying to get Cruz and Cornyn or even McConnell suddenly grow a pair as well as a vertebrea, do some good for yourselves. I finally got a haircut yesterday and a pedicure and it was just what the doctor ordered. PLUS after the haircut i spent a delightful half hour petting a dog I had never seen before, a Boykin Spaniel, the state dog of South Carolina. The most congenial canine I have ever met. Solid good medicine!

  12. Caren @10 it’s not just NC. There’s a pattern where in red counties, meaning Republicon controlled, of higher numbers for tRump than statistically possible. NV red counties tallied beyond 80% for tRump despite steady population decline since 1970. Undoubtedly Jon Ralston knows more than my casual glance, but it sure seem some of NV’s ghost towns had a very active Halloween. So active that those 1800s gold and silver miners with their extended families hung around after the treating to do some tricking, like voting this year.

Our high desert dufus, Mark Amodei, had a substantial challenger who ran an excellent campaign. He who barely squeaked through in previous elections to his House seat mysteriously somehow knocked up a double digit victory for his House seat this year.

Simply put. Washoe County along with Clark County (Las Vegas) carried the state for Biden. Washoe Co where we live is part of high desert District 2, yet our numbers were insufficient to offset the ghost towns to the east of us. Yeah some things do go bump in the night.

El Jefe, D’uh Donnie may not fry to the extent he deserves for his lifetime of criming, especially the accelerated criming in the last 4 years. But he sure seems ready for a funeral pyre of legal machinations that will consume Princess Sparkletwat, the namesake kid, and second boy what’s his name.

That sounds delightful and certainly a better investment of time than reading one MORE article leading to sputtering objections, shouts of outrage, or even those which reinforce your prevailing opinions.

My dogs are getting a daily walk nearly every day, and a backyard playtime for the 10 minutes or so one or the other remains interested in the toy de jour. And I’m certainly the better for it.

  14. Steve from Beaverton says:

I see rotten Ronna McDUHnial and the head of the MI state gop are asking for a 14 day delay in certification of the vote. She’s kissing DUHm Donnie’s ass in order to stay in his good graces. She deserves him just as the entire repugnantican party deserves both of them.
As Trumpf is starting his 2024 run, his criminal handling of the coronavirus needs to be kept top of mind and aired constantly. He wants to start his 2024 campaign now, so the DNC needs to also start (as well as the 2022 midterms).
I can understand Biden not getting involved in Trumpfs legal problems directly, but the cases in NY need to go forward. The findings need to be aired and punishment carried out. Probably fines, but his reputation needs to be destroyed for all time by publicizing his frauds and tank his 2024 plans even further (including his corrupt family). Guaranteed if the shoes were on the feet of a Democrat, the repugnantican party would spend 4 years playing it up.

    14
  15. So it begins to appear that the first rule of the GOP is you don’t talk about the GOP.

  17. Unholy batsoap, even Brian Kemp has openly stated the fu king moron* lost the election in Georgia. Georgia is certified as a Biden win. http://capitol-beat.org/2020/11/kemp-raffensperger-certify-georgia-election-results-and-biden-win/

In other news Biden/Harris are more than 6 million popular votes ahead of Donnie/Poodle.

Well hot damn Steve, the Rescummies have spent more than thirty effing years going after the Clintons alone, and there are many other Dems that they keep on their permanent rotating hit list.
We Democrats have simply got to wake up and play the same game.
All this ‘bipartisan, go-along get along, when they go low-we go high, look forward-not backwards’ horseshit has got to stop.
We’re in an all out war, not a frickin checkers game. Play it for keeps, crush your enemies ruthlessly.
The proper and effective use of raw power as needed is the only thing that will keep us in power and able to accomplish our goals. And probably expand our vote counts and respect among those marginal and independent voters, perhaps even switching a few less brain-damaged Rethuglikans.

  19. Opinionated Hussy says:

@Caren#10 – LOL, I know where you are speaking of. My little county is a blue dot in a sea of North Carolina red, and the county north of us went 75% for Trump. Our blue dot went against all recommendations and did voter registration, phone calls, and door knocks (masks, social distance, sanitized pens,…). Even though we’re only 26% registered Dems (30% GOP, the rest are unafilliated)…it helps that our local Democratic officials actually believe in government and deliver good services.

The ‘75% county’ has done no registrations, etc., and people in their 60’s who had NEVER voted before crawled out from under rocks to vote for His Orangeness.

Nothing nefarious about the count, just the difference between an energized local Party, and one that hasn’t been.

    20
  20. Polling data suggests that the majority of white Evangelicals and Catholics voted for Trump who is a cruel, vindictive self-serving pagan. I expected better of people who proclaim themselves to be Christian.

Of particular interest, 83 percent of those identifying as atheists or agnostics voted for Biden.

    21
  21. Steve from Beaverton says:

I see the speaker of the MI house suggested on Sinclair BS news (a fox wannabe or maybe newsmax) that the certification of election results should and may be delayed and end up in his house. He said it would be a constitutional crisis but the MI house would need to bow to the voters that don’t trust the results. The hell with the majority of MI voters because only repugnantican votes count. Oh and of course, this had nothing to do with meeting with the DUHtrumpf. Sure, we believe that.
This is the not so new face of the repugnantican party. Goes along with a picture of Giuliani with diarrhea leaking out of his head. Shameless autocratic power mongers.

  22. van heldorf says:

Sandridge @19: At the risk of misinterpreting your intent, your message sounds like we should be like the repubs utilizing their dirty, nefarious tactics but, more importantly, adopting their mindset. If so, at what point do we then become like what we rail against? This does not mean that we become Pollyannas; it does mean that we set the standard of rules similar to war; ie, there is a line that separates acceptable battle conduct from war crimes grounded solidly in prevailing over the opponent.
Otherwise, do we not really set up a situation where someone on “our” side kinda likes the idea of power and then wants to become a replacement autocrat?

If you haven’t already, check out John Pavloitz: Stuff That Needs to be Said.
IMHO his latest post is his strongest condemnation yet of Evangelicals.
    And he’s a pastor.
If you aren’t familiar with him, there’s volumes of previous posts about the hypocrisy of these people.

    24
  24. van heldorf @23:
I can’t speak for Sandridge’s intent. But for myself, I don’t propose using the worst tactics of repugnantcans. Like pushing outrageously ludicrous conspiracy theories, lies, and attacks on polititian’s’ family members. (To name a few) But refusing to attack, or prosecute crimes committed, letting character assassination and straight up demonization (against politicians and increasingly just us)
without a fight might seem noble. For a awhile. Not sinking to their level and and all that. But after years of not holding them accountable, they’re emboldened to the point of calling for political violence.
Awhile back I compared it to bringing a knife to a Thompson submachine gun fight, and wondering why we’re getting our asses kicked.
I still say most of it boils down to the abuse of freedom of speech.
And I don’t claim to have the solution to that.
But it seems to me that our approach for decades is inviting more of the same.
    And increasingly worse.

    25
  25. van heldorf says:

PP at 25: What I tried to make clear is that engaging the far right trumpists by avoiding a fight depends upon the situation at that time but definitely attacking &/or withdrawing on the acceptable rules of any particular conflict without crossing the line particular to that conflict. Needs to be done in a way to avoid merely replacing one bad actor with another bad actor.

    26
  26. Steve from Beaverton says:

Democrats should never sink to the lies, false narratives and conspiracies used by the repugnantican party and candidates. There are plenty of legitimate issues that need to be used by democrats now that it’s pretty clear Trumpf plans to announce he’s going to run in 2024, and as well those that are Trumpf disciples in 2022. Obviously the repugnantican handling of the coronavirus. Other false narratives that need to be cleared up by the Democratic Party are like ads they ran in Florida targeting Latino voters trying to paint Biden as being closely tied to Venezuela when in fact the parallels are to Trumpf. Venezuela is an authoritarian government, similar to what Trumpf is trying to do right now. And it worked this time but can’t be allowed to work again. There are many more legitimate factual issues that need to be used to campaign against repugnanticans starting soon. Trumpf legal issues will speed ak for themselves.

    27
  27. van heldorf @23, Yeah, it’s a fine line, as P.P. @25 outlines. We need to be much more forceful, aggressive and unrelenting in counter-attacking and even initiating the actions; but only barely short of the really dirty stuff of the Rethugs. Stretch things a bit, choose words carefully for effect, go negative, hell yes.
I get really ticked when I see/hear our leaders, especially, holding back on calling Rethugs like tRump on their vicious un-American behaviors.
Joe Biden for example, when tippy-toeing around the Twitler’s bullshit, uses wishy-washy words like ‘maybe, shouldn’t, might, etc.’ instead of flat-out forceful declarative phrases with no room for ambiguity or conciliation.
We’re dealing with Nazis ferchrisake, cut them no slack whatsoever. Don’t use a BB gun when a bazooka or flamethrower is handy.
