Yes, And He Abandoned Prussia, Too

September 17, 2012 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Do you know who is creepier than Dick Cheney?

Liz Cheney.

She went on teevee yesterday to claim that President Barack Obama’s foreign policy has been a failure.  He has abandoned Czechoslovakia, dammit.  So, add another item to the List of Things That Liz Cheney Does Not Know.

The dissolution of Czechoslovakia, which took effect on 1 January 1993, was an event that saw the self-determined separation of the federal state of Czechoslovakia.

Which kinda explains why Bill Clinton ignored them, too.

But, hell, maybe we could add that as a another reason why Dick Cheney went to war in the wrong damn country.

Thanks to David for the heads up.

  1. Why does practically no one know any geography any more. Not physical, necessarily, but political. It’s only one of the most important factors in world affairs.
    Sigh.

  2. Lorraine in Spring says:

Initially I say, who takes The Spawn of The Dick seriously? How do you think your brain would develop growing up listening to the Grim Reaper all those years? The Lizard is a nobody who only has a job because of her last name.

But, she’s also Dick’s personal agenda – to get her elected or appointed someday to continue his evil neo-con dirty work: Wars For Profit.

    Stupid + Evil = Dangerous.

  3. What is that Bill Maher quote, “The crap doesn’t fall far from the bat”? (I cleaned it up because Mama maybe reading.)

  4. I think the worst thing Obama has done was to abandon Atlantis. Dick Cheney got a new heart. Liz needs a new brain.

  5. Sam in Kyle says:

Poor girl, she got her daddy’s looks and personality (or lack thereof).

  6. they’re still working off the map from the 50’s just like their ideas.
I like the Atlantis idea, though.

  7. Bless her heart. From the bottom of my aged Central Texas heart, Bless her heart. My fingers are too tired to adequately outline why Liz Cheney deserves scathing pity.

  8. JJ: Does Momma know French? Can we say “merde”?
    If so, consider it said.
Creme de la merde! in fact.

  9. Don A in Pennsyltucky says:

More of Obama’s Time Lord meddling. This time he went back and made sure there would be no Czechoslovakia to have to support.

  10. Good grief. And nobody on the Right mentions that Liz’s sister is gay and oughta be hauled out and stoned. I think I’ll go to lunch. Y’all come on over!

  12. I love Paul’s comment:

“The road apple doesn’t fall far from the horse’s ass.”

    Just another LOL moment!!

  13. If Liz Cheney wnans to talk about foreign policy failures, she might first want to notice there’s an elephant in the room. And then talk about something else.

They don’t call it Geography any more, it is Social Studies. Now we all know that anything with the word social in it is dangerous and European, positively un-American in fact.

The scary part is this person is an attorney specializing in International Law. She worked for the federal government’s Agency for International Development while Czechoslovakia was breaking up, but apparently didn’t notice. Then she was a Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State For Near Eastern Affairs at an annual salary of approximately $180K a year from 2002 – 2003. The near east is pretty darn close geographically to the Czech Republic and Slovakia which used to be Czekoslovakia.

  15. Czechoslovakia??? I also heard that Obama has failed us in Yugoslavia too. He was too busy trying to curry favor with the Ottoman Empire.

  16. The lapse itself, combined with Mitt’s assertion that our number 1 geopolitical threat is Russia, shows how the neoCoNzis are as deeply embedded in Team Romney as a tick in a fat, shaggy dog.

I’m sure she was referring to the Obama revamp of the Bush-era missile defense systems that removed the Czech Republic as the linch pin and concentrated more on interdicting Iranian missiles. This pissed the Czechs off, especially since their deputy prime minister used to be a lobbyist for Grumman, Lockheed and Boeing.

Without a clear source of kickbacks, I mean, without the prospect of defense against Soviet, I mean, Russian nukes, Czechoslovakia, I mean, the Czech Republic, opted out of the whole program, I mean, got abandoned by Obama in their hour of dire need.

  17. Obama took a play out of Mitten’s playbook and abandoned them retroactively.

    17
  18. Liz Cheney makes me want to throw up. Must be the gene pool.
