Yeah, Kinda Like The United States Being Racist Against Hitler

Goodness gracious, the inside of Elon Musk’s brain must look like scrambled eggs and strawberries or something. What a damn mess.

Billionaire Elon Musk on Sunday accused the media of being racist against whites and Asians after U.S. newspapers dropped a white comic strip author who made derogatory comments about Black Americans.

But not Hispanics, huh? How’d they get so lucky? They don’t buy Teslas? And how did Asians get in there?  Oh, wait, Asians make Telsas.

Look, I don’t think he knows what racism means.  Racism can only exist when the majority with the power discriminates against the minority without the power.

Musk’s latest tweets come after the Dilbert creator suggested white Americans “get the hell away from Black people”. Adams, the cartoonist, was responding to a poll by the conservative Rasmussen Reports that said 26% of Black respondents said they disagreed with the statement “It’s OK to be white.”

Oh for pete sake.  I can get 26% of whites to disagree with the statement “It’s OK to be female.”

Elon Musk is a racist. Scott Adams is a racist. They are perfectly within their rights as Americans to be racists. They are also within their rights to be goofy. Honey, I defend their right to be goofy racists. At least we know the hell who they are.

Now, if we let them be leaders, shame on us.

Is it all right if I don’t ask Apartheid Elon to define racism for me?

I read that Adams said people are taking his comments out of context. I think we got the context exactly right and I’m glad a number of newspapers did as well. Hit him in the wallet. He’d also said something to the effect that all this is giving him publicity that will benefit him in the long run. Maybe he’s planning to throw his hat into running for office. Same with Musk. Running mates?

    That boy just aint right.

  4. @Steve: My automatic answer when anyone says they’re taken out of context is, “Well, what’s the context? Do you have video or text?” I rarely get an answer.

I didn’t read Dilbert as it was too snarky for me so losing it from the comic pages is no big deal. But the big deal for me is, who is Adams listening to that is spewing that rhetoric that he’s bought in to? As for Elon Musk, he’s like every rich person I’ve met, because he made money on item A, he thinks he know everything about everything!

  6. We must remember that Musk comes from one of the MOST racist countries on earth; he has been carefully taught.

  7. I think that Elon is perhaps an Alien/humanoid anyways so everyone is racist to him. Why else was he taking people into space. Do you think he needed the million per trip?

“Musk comes from one of the MOST racist countries on earth;”

    Yes.
And now he plans to go to Mars?

As Elton John may have once prophetically noted, “Mars ain’t the kind of place to raise yoiur kids.”

Musk may not qualify as stupid, but he sure rate the stupid racist label. In the chicken/egg, genetics/parenting debate Apartheid Elon does answer the debate of stupidly self-medicating as his Asperger’s Syndrome is out of control. Seriously, seek help, Elon.

Musk also liked SNL host Woody looney tunes Harrelson ranting on about COVID vaccines. I couldn’t get myself to watch the replay, but Elon really liked it. Not sure what got into NBC to have such an idiot host their program unless they are trying to get back into favor with Desantis after he cut them off for bad coverage of his campaign and policies. What a quartet- Scott Adams, Elon Musk, Woody Harrelson and Rant Desantis. Make it a five-some- add MTG.

  11. Dilbert was mildly amusing for maybe 3 years. Now it deserves the scrap heap with Nancy and Beetle Bailey, regardless of the racist who draws it.

lazrgrl: I only looked at Dilbert when it was on-line. He accepted suggestions from readers back in the early 90s but never acknowleged them via a “H/T to …”. Failure to attribute ideas was what first made me dislike him, 30 years ago.

For anyone curious, one of my then-grad students sent Adams a suggestion based on a marathon two day work crunch we had in preparation for a conference:

In my defense, I did give the whole lab three days off afterwards, and nobody died or had to be packed off to the loony-bin.
