I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
Don’t you just LOVE it when rightwing heads start to melt? Of course you do.
1Might just be my favorite picture of President Obama’s reign! This is a guy who really gets it. Imagine the thrill for these Scouts. Imagine a man who isn’t afraid to show that he gets what is important at the most basic level. This must be the quality that lets him deal with the big issues.
2Look at President Obama smile! He deserved a break with the five little charmers.
Still contemplating a bet at the local sports book; will he or won’t he have a drink with Mitch? If that event happens, make that sour mash bourbon in ‘honor’ of Kentucky’s old sour puss.

4At least he didn’t do a silly mocking version of a ceremonial dance while making stupid faces.
5What I thought when I first saw this picture was “there is a man who has daughters”, not “OMG, he thinks he is king!”. Pretty sure kings don’t wear tiaras.
6As a father and grandfather of girls I can say with absolute certainty that those 5 smiles are worth every bit of silliness the wingnuts want to throw at him.
You have to be a 24 karat hater not to see the beauty in that picture.
7As Cheryl said above, the right wing has been so busy accusing Obama of acting like a king, or emperor, and not only that, but one who may not relinquish his powers at the end of his term!!!
This photo proves they couldn’t be more wrong.
Of course as soon as the right wing punditocracy metabolizes their intake of Christmas calories and the blood returns to their brains, they’ll get back to work when they realize how long Princess Elizabeth has been Queen Elizabeth, and how popular she has become in the last decade or so.
PS – I love this photo. Only wish the President had used it for his Christmas card to Republican members of Congress.

11What they punditocracy failed to note was that that picture was taken in May and just now released. So I guess that means he has not given a $#%^ for a lot longer than they think.

Oil prices were too high under President Obama. This week too low, thanks to the same man, that wily Kenyan who faked a birth certificate and plotted to be president the day he was born.
Meanwhile, Jeb Bush is busily placing a little distance between himself and the profits he made from that evil Obamacare.
The bears of the GOP will always whine about the temperature of their porridge, while what they really want is ALL of the proverbial porridge.

16Girl Scouts, turning young women into real leaders for 100 years.
All real men know when a young girl hands you a tiara, you put that sucker on, plant a corner of your butt on the little chair, pass the sugar bowl to the stuffed rabbit, and politely sip your cup of pretend tea.
17I didn’t actually read Michael Cohen’s comment as a blast against the president. In the article I saw it attached to, it appeared more as amusement and mockery of the right wing.

20Folks, Michael Cohen is a pretty good guy. He’s a columnist with the lefty British newspaper, The Guardian. When he says that Obama doesn’t give a flying one, I’m sure he’s saying it with a smile.

21In further defense of Michael Cohen, I believe he’s the Guardian columnist who said a couple of years ago that the biggest political story of the year was how the Republicans had “fallen out of the crazy tree and hit every branch on the way down.”
22Guys, I wrote that pretty poorly. Michael Cohen is a good guy responding to the rightwing blowup. I think Cohen’s response is breathtaking in its simplicity, power, and yeah, Dude, he doesn’t care what you think.
For me, it’s hard to tell who is having the most fun in this picture. It might be the President but it also might be the adorable child with her arm around him and her hand on his arm. You know, like you do with your BFF.
23There have also been photos of POTUS riding a bike with the kids. He is wearing a safety helmet, as is everyone else. Yet for the RWNJ’s this is a complete validation of what they call cowardice, afraid to take a risk of any sort. They often recall and even have a pix of Saint Reagan riding a horse. He doesn’t wear any sort of headgear. This makes him a super hero. ‘Scuse me while I talk something for the damn GERD that is creeping up on me. Never mind that a the bike ride was done on rentals and all such rental shops make sure you sign a waiver so you can’t sue them if something should happen and they also insist that you wear one of their safety helmets as it is only fair to them and to the rider. See, that’s how you can tell a legit business from a fly by night. Saint Reagan was riding his own horse on his own land. That photo was taken well before the safety surge that swept the country. Ten to one if it had been taken much, much later he would have worn what looked like a 10 gallon hat. What most wouldn’t have known is that western safety headgear would look just like that. And he would have worn that hat cuz as POTUS he is usually supposed to model good behavior for the kiddies, even if the brim dropped so much shade on his face any snapshots would have looked like a blur. Obama is a free man. He chose to have a moment of fun with the kids, bless him.
Thanks to JJ and Rhea et al. for educating me on Mr. Cohen. I guess I’m going to have to read more overseas news from here on in.

25Maggie, didn’t President Reagan fall off his horse back in 1989 and develop a subdural hematoma that sent him to the hospital to have the blood clot removed from his brain? I don’t remember the GOP calling Reagan reckless for riding without protective gear. It’s a good thing Obama has the sense to wear a safety helmet when he rides a bike, not a cowardly one.
26So all this time that the right-wingers were whining that Obama was behaving like a monarch he was actually behaving like a Girl Scout.
Though come to think of it the right-wingers also dislike girl Scouts.
27What Obama doesn’t give an f about is the opinions of hysterical, overreacting, propagandist rabble-rousers and their love of meaningless personal smears. The only real shame is that so many fools swill up this garbage as if it was holy writ.
