It is considered bad mojo to work on your birthday. Okay, so I just made that up. So sue me.
If you have tragically come here expecting to see me work, you are indeed not getting your money’s worth. Thelma will be cheerfully refunding your admission price at the back door.

My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.

5Happy Birthday and more power to you for taking the day off. I spent my birthday at a tax conference and while I had an enjoyable conversation with a tax lawyer about the kind of bushes that attract hummingbirds (even tax lawyers have other lives), it was not my favorite birthday ever.

8Happy birthday! If I were in the area, I’d drop by and sing for you. I’m the all-but-official birthday singer at my office and for various friends. My co-workers and friends call it my “marilyn monroe” style delivery. I call it a torch singers’s delivery, because it’s no-where near as “breathy” as MM singing for JFK! I’m a second alto and my favorite key is low and rich! SusanF can attest to that.

Off to Tahoe/Reno area tomorrow to spend a few days hiking,relaxing and going on a Stagecoach ride in Virginia City for the hell of it:)
