Welcome to The World's Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc.
My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
Done with great taste!
1Ah yes, Democrats vs. Republicans.
2We have wits, they have twits.
Location, location,location!
3JAKvirginia, we also have virtually all the good songs on our side. I’ll put everybody from Pete Seeger to the Dixie Chicks up against the Ballad of the Green Berets.
“Democratic Party– we’re not perfect, but they’re nuts.” (available somewhere on cafepress.com)
4Sadly, those signs wouldn’t last two minutes in my county. 🙁
5One neighbor of mine has a banner like the one on the right for Hillary. It’s in Spanish and costs $50. Some *&^% scribbled on it. It’s one thing to damage or steal a $5 sign (which has happened 5-6 times so far in this SW Austin neighborhood), but that banner is really beautiful. For my sign’s most recent repair, I also sprayed it with Pam and then sprinkled it with glitter and cayenne pepper. And I’ve hooked up a borrowed webcam from a neighbor who doesn’t have a Clinton sign in her yard. It’s been a miraculous 5 days without being touched.

7+1 on the Dem leaning musicians!
Glitter and hot pepper? Wow! You must live in a very interesting place. My neighborhood is church mouse quiet and all the signs, from both candidates, are still intact and where they were planted. The Trumpians on the corner must have been very nervous about somebody messing with their sign so they hung it so high in a tree you have to work to see it! Hmmmmm.
8I’m not aware of anyone vandalizing political signs in my part of Minnesota. I think I have seen 3 Mangled Apricot Hellbeast signs. Most signs are about local candidates. I have a couple Hillary stickers on my car, no problem. Now if I visited friends in SouDakota something would probably happen to my car. Stoopid, ignorant rednecks. (Not my friends)
9This gives me an idea of something to do with sidewalk chalk the night before the election. Chalk a parking space on every corner in the development and mark it “RESERVED FOR TACO TRUCK”.
10@maggie #1- Yes, though the sign could be done with more professionalism and panache. The thought is spot on , and I want to know what that hedge is?Is that something native to Texas?I’d plant either one in my yard.
11Just beautiful. A few weeks ago, a taco truck showed up on my corner (well, not the one nearest to home, the OTHER corner of my block). I miss it. I did take a picture. The closest one is usually three blocks from where the outlier appeared.
