Who Said It?

Who tweeted this?  The answer is in the comments.

“Roy Moore won’t concede; says will wait on God to speak. God wasn’t registered to vote in AL but the ppl who voted did speak and it wasn’t close enough for recount.”

“In elections everyone does NOT get a trophy. I know first hand but it’s best to exit with class.”

Who said it?

  1. Bob Stoller says:

Even a stopped clock is right twice a day. And Mike Huckabee is certainly no better than a stopped clock.

    2
  2. Yeah, but J.K. Rowling (Harry Potter author) had the best tweet:
‘Narrator’s voice: Roy was right. God was in control. What he didn’t realise was, She’s black’

    3
  3. My little bride shared a similar thought: “God IS in control Roy. And She has spoken through the voters of Alabama. You putz.”

    4
  4. Sam in St Paul says:

God just called. She said to tell Roy to STFU and quit pretending he knew Her.

    5
  5. Tweets:
@Vox: Republican Roy Moore refuses to concede, says “wait on God and let this process play out”

    God
    @TheTweetOfGod
    No, I’m good, thanks.
    .
Here’s a sidesplitting collection of “laughing at Judge Roy Moore” (lots moore on the whole thread):

  6. Thanks Sam!!!
The lady-that-lets-me-live-with-her enjoyed that as much as I did.

    7
  7. Going on the premise that Moore really isn’t as stupid as he seems, it looks like he thinks the fix is in.

    8
  8. Sam in St Paul, was he claiming to know her in the biblical sense?

    9
  9. lobstershift says:

My wish right now is that no one ever calls Moore “Judge” again. He ain’t a judge, and for good reason.
All these people who once held a position but no longer do should drop their titles: “Governor” Sarah Palin, “General” Michael Flynn and “General” John Kelly, etc.
They’re all just plain civilians now, and honorific titles are used to elevate them unnecessarily.

    10
  10. If you’re a Republican and both The Washington Times AND Mike Huckabee are not on your side, it’s time to cut your losses.

Of course, ol’ Roy won’t figure that one out and will just keep stumbling along making a fool of himself.

Why should today be different from any other day?

    11
  11. Roy Moore is still talking, I guess.

So, um, who wants some ice cream?

    12
  12. Kenneth Fair says:

God isn’t registered to vote in Alabama because He can’t get ID sufficient to satisfy Alabama’s voter ID law.

    13
  13. Sarah Huckabee Sanders’s dad.

    14
  14. I wish I knew how to set up images that you folks could see, but you’ll have to settle for descriptions of some classic Oliphant cartoons.

    1. Angel (reading paper): He believes that the world is flat, that the sun revolves around the earth, that stem cell research must be vetoed, and– here’s the kicker– that God speaks through him. Any comments?
God: When I was handing out an intellect to mankind, I don’t recall him being anywhere in the line.

    2. Angel (reading papers): FYI, sir, we have a whole bunch of political screeds from various candidates, each claiming to have a closer personal relationship with you than the rest, most claiming to be on a first-name basis with you, and some even claiming to have your cell-phone number.
God: Hand me a few of those thunderbolts. I think I need to thin out the field.

    3. Jerry Falwell (addressing a smiling throned devil and several others, in the midst of fire and brimstone): I’m Jerry Falwell and there appears to be some mistake.
Little devil in corner to Oliphant’s little bird character: We get Pat Robertson next.

    Only this to add:
Why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? (Luke 6:46)

    15
  15. @lobstershift, You and I so agree on this. Most titles should be gone after the job is over. I would include government, military and maybe even religious should be banned. Usually the ones who use them the most are people who lost the title by bad behavior. Moore was removed from the bench twice, anyone who calls him judge is just an idiot.

  16. Oh my. I believe Kenneth Fair has it right. If democrats can win in Alabama, they can damn sure win in Texas. Keep up the good work! (Heck, maybe a democrat could actually win in eastern Washington State. It could happen.)
