What Would Ayn Rand Say, Joe?

February 14, 2013 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

The Tea Party’s very own Joe Walsh, who got stomped by Tammy Duckworth, is going back to being a Deadbeat Dad.

Instead of getting her child support payments in February, the ex-Mrs Walsh got papers from Joe’s lawyer instead.

Walsh’s court filing states: “Joe’s employment has been terminated through no voluntary act of his own and he is without sufficient income or assets with which to continue to pay his support obligation. Due to a substantial change in circumstances, Joe requests that his child support obligation be terminated based on his present income and circumstances.”

No, it was pretty much his fault that he got fired.

Joe also contends that he has no salary and no savings.  A congressman makes $174,000 a year.  Within a month of leaving office, he’s broke, doesn’t have a job, and probably doesn’t have health insurance.  Welcome to the real world, Joe, we’ve been waiting for you.

Thanks to Sybil for the heads up.

I suspect Joe has substantial left-over funds from his campaign he can tap for any purpose (except child support, of course). Politicians are never broke after serving in office, even one term. Look at Allan West, for instance.

  2. He’s consistant anyway. Just an aside, I wonder how Mrs. Walsh #2 and her kids are doing?? I’m just sayin’.

    2
  3. I propose we take up a collection and send Joe a pack of Kraft, or better yet store brand, singles to go with his whine. On second though, nah, wasted effort. He wouldn’t get it. He doesn’t have two clues to rub together.

    3
  4. Unbelievable?!! “You LIE Joe” a dead-beat dad?! Maybe FOX will give Joe a job like they did Scott Brown.

    4
  5. What a loser. My guess is that he has no job skills in demand. So, I guess any loser that can’t get a real job can run for Congress and actually get in, at least for a while. Our standards are sure low.

  6. @ Mom Hugs – that was Joe Wilson. It can get confusing – there are so many nitwits there.

    6
  7. The mouth that roared has his comeuppance. I’m so happy.

  8. These are the questions I would ask him if I were the judge at his child support hearing:
    1) Do you rent an apartment? How much per month? Find a cheaper place.
    2) Do you cook at home or eat out? Stop eating out.
    3) Car? Get a used Camry.
    4) Cable? Cancel it.
Or better yet, “here’s how much you send your children every month. You are now the person who gets what is left over.
(P.S. – does his wife resort to food stamps or government benefits because Mr. Tea Party doesn’t contribute to his family?)

  9. I can just see the judges here in Tennessee tossing DeadbeatImbecileJoe into the clanker for 11 mos, 29 days for NON-PAYMENT. In a heartbeat, if unemployed, you CS remains the same….the judge in Illinois had GARNISHED Joe’s congressional pay and I seriously doubt he is going to let Deadbeat off the hook – even though the kids are older, CS does NOT go away – last year a judge tossed a deadbeat in jail until he paid back CS for 15 years – his very own father testified against him.

    9
  10. Joe’s big deal is that his ex-wife has a very good job and does not need it – that is truly his excuse.

    10
  11. I am sure Joe will land on his feet. The right wing crazies seem to take care of their own, at least until they are rich enough to found their own Beckistans. Teabaggers are apparently incapable of expelling the hypocrites among them, plus they are so stoopid they don’t know Medicare is a government program. I await reading about his next “career”.

    11
  12. I hear fox news is looking for a dead beat type of guy to fill in for the nit wit.
Trying to spice up the line up.

  13. daChipster says:

Joe Walsh just recently started a Super PAC to combat Karl Rove. Kinda weird to be rooting for Karl Rove on anything, but there it is. Anyway, I’m sure he’s not running this Super PAC pro bono publico. In fact, I’ll bet he’s paying himself a real nice salary right off the top.

So far, God has spared this oxygen thief. I can only hope it’s to visit all 10 plagues of Egypt on him some time soon.

    13
  14. @daChipster – I’d like to see the futuristic sci-fi version of “Joe Walsh, the Oxygen Thief.” Trailer voice over:
“IN THE FUTURE, personal oxygen is rationed, and lifetime limits are capped. Fathers are required to provide Oxygen Support to their offspring. But one man, Joe Walsh, wants to keep it all… to himself. Now, he’s crossed over TO THE WRONG SIDE OF THE LAW.
Coming soon, to a theater in Illinois.

  15. I think a lot of those guys, who use a similar excuse, kinda wind up in jail.

Doesn’t help the wife or kids, because he still doesn’t have the where-with-all to make money, and make the payments.

But… it does teach a hard lesson.

So, she has a good job. Good for her. So did he…. until he screwed that up. Any way you look at it…. isn’t the kid’s fault. They still need food, clothing, shelter, stuff for school…. and on and on and on…. And, dads have a responsibility to help provide that.

He just needs to quit whining. Not a whole lot of sympathy anywhere for Joe Walsh.

  16. Okey-dokie says:

Couldn’t Mr Personal Responsibility get an advance on his credit cards until something comes along? Fox News must be losing money. They can’t hire every losing Republican as a special news analyst anymore.

    16
  17. If Joe Walsh is so beloved by his Tea Party buddies, you would think at least one of them out there would be willing to step up and offer him a job. Are you holding your breath, Joe? is that you turning blue?

    17
  18. Don A in Pennsyltucky says:

I’m sure that he won’t be unemployed too long. Despite being a short timer, he may be worth a few thousand a month as a lobbyist for some deep-pockets donor whose last name begins with ‘K-O-C’ — I’m sure that Mr. Hastert will give him some pointers.

But if he’s planning on pulling the deadbeat act, well I’m pretty sure that there are some attorneys in Illinois who know how to squeeze a deadbeat until some money shows up.

    18
  19. shortpeople says:

Ms. Rand, illegal immigrant and stealer of American jobs, would look with favor on this individual declaring his independence and divesting himself of the state imposed need to continue the odious and onerous burden of maintaining those moochers and looters.

    19
  20. W C Peterson says:

I guess his lawyer works for free, then?

    20
  21. Keep following this because when he gets to court he gets stomped. Abatement of child support is not available when there has been wilfull non-support.

    21
  22. attilatheblond says:

And Deadbeat Joe ain’t pretty enough for FOX News. Scott Brown beat him outta that cushy gig.

Burger King might be hiring horse wranglers. Maybe Walsh can get his macho on and flip some burgers of uncertain contents.

    22
  23. peter merkin jr says:

Deadbeat parents are not just men, my ex wife is a deadbeat and doesnt pay her child support. It is not gender, it is moral. Some people are so hateful and egocentric, it will never penetrate their warped brains that these kids are their own flesh and blood and it makes me cry

    23
  24. Budgets are for poor women to worry about! Warriors like Joe Walsh have more important business to attend to than to worry about expenses! He’s SICK OF HEARING THAT CRAP!!!! Joe has his SuperPac to fund, trips to Mexico with his new girlfriend to plan and his run for the 2014 Illinois Governor to worry about, he can’t be tied down with supporting his lazy ex-wife!

    Freedom!
