What a Shame

October 14, 2020 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

There are two things you cannot buy:  happiness and the government running on time.

“President Trump’s plan to send 33 million Medicare beneficiaries a card that can be used to help pay for as much as $200 in prescription drug costs won’t be completed until after the election.”

The Wall Street Journal explains that it’s costing $20 million in administrative costs just to send out letters explaining that a card is coming.  Trump had hoped seniors would get the letters before the election with his grotesque signature at the bottom.  That’s not gonna happen.

I think most seniors realize that the money is coming from taxes, not Trump’s empty pockets. I also think they ain’t voting for that sumbitch no matter how much he give them.  My Uncle Buck, who just turned 90, told me that Trump is so crooked that when he dies, they’re gonna have to screw him in the ground.

I’ve got a screw driver.

I am so looking forward to seeing Trumpfs booking photo made public after he’s done and out of office.

I had/have planned to return mine with a scathing note, if it ever happens.

And, oh, for a like button, so I can approve of other comments.

Ms. Juanita Jean, when you are ready to auger that misshapen misfit into the ground, we’ll deliver a suitable auger to a place of your choosing. It’s rumored that one of the reasons Donnie sold his yacht is that he becomes seasick dockside. Maybe auguring out of an aircraft and dumped unceremoniously into the sea Bin Laden style would be more appropriate. Although there’s much to be said for a land based burial set up as a national latrine. Let us know. The volunteer numbers should be spectacular.

Guardian poll has Biden up 57-40. I don’t believe that.

I saw more than one person comment that Obama would have never been able to afford to give people stimulus money from his own pocket like Trump did. Ignoring the fact that poor excuse for a man has never given anyone anything, those poor schleps failed basic math. So, I have my doubts as to whether no seniors would fall for that trick again.

Only two things that money can’t buy and that’s true love and homegrown tomatos.

    high school education.

  10. He’s just trying to buy the election. That’s how you do business, isn’t it? These $200 cards, his autograph again on the next round of relief checks, and his recent new farm subsidy checks. Just more charges to add to the list for citizen Trump.

    10
  11. And how many of us ‘seniors’ who are using Medicare really need more money for Rx’s? On a Medicare plus plan, most of one’s drugs are covered in full. Some are not but $200 may help a bit but would cover the expensive scripts for the year.
And is that $200 going to be taxable???

    11
  12. I’ve got questions about this card. I’m a senior but I was in a damn fine union and even retired my drugs never cost more than $20 (and that’s for the super duper brand name my doc insists on). So can I give it to my daughter who’s got pre-existing conditions and will likely lose here ACA coverage?

  13. Steve from Beaverton says:

The people that need the $200 are the ones repugnanticans plan to take Obamacare away from. Of course Trumpf will never admit that, and with 3 weeks before the election, their line is “we’re not trying to take away Obamacare”. WTF
