What a Damn Shame
It seems like a decent white American can’t even organize a riot anymore.
Jason Kessler is one of the white supremacists who helped organize the ‘Unite the Right’ rally in Charlottesville last summer. He is trying to have another one. But nobody wants to come and Charlottesville doesn’t want them even if they did.
That’s kind of a problem.
The city of Charlottesville says nope, not here, because of public safety concerns. And then drawing a crowd seems to be weirdly hard.
Michael Hill, the president of white supremacist group League of the South – which brought a sizeable contingent of supporters to Unite the Right last year – announced in a podcast last week that his group would not be in attendance.
Other white nationalists such as Richard Spencer and Brad Griffin told Newsweek they were not likely to attend. Alt-right podcaster Mike Peinovich also bowed out, citing the “violent attacks” that white supremacists suffered last year at the hands of “antifa thugs”.
Snowflakes.
Oh yeah, so much white supremacist suffering. Two weeks ago, one of the real thugs at Charlottesville was found guilty of beating up someone and faces 20 years in prison.
Meanwhile, Kessler is suing Charlottesville for his 1st amendment rights. But, he says that if that doesn’t work out, they’ll have it at the White House. Oh, that’s an idea. Trump thinks you’re fine people. Yeah, go have it there. Great idea.
Thanks to Sarah for the heads up.
