Wet As … I Dunno, Milk?

Donald Trump explaining the recent hurricane …

In his latest video, Trump comments on Hurricane Florence. “This is a tough hurricane,” he proclaims, “one of the wettest we’ve ever seen from the standpoint of water.” Whether Florence is also wet from other standpoints is a question the president did not address.

I swear, I am not making this up.

The man’s a freekin’ genius.

  1. It’s those dry hurricanes that really scare me.

Before or after he told a hurricane survivor to “have a good time”?

  3. Last week, when Trump was just getting warmed up he said about Florence, “It’s tremendously big and tremendously wet, tremendous amounts of water.”

When he hears about the drowned hogs and chickens, I can’t wait until he explains to us, the American public, about the effects the storm had from the standpoint of McRibs & McNuggets.

  4. Wouldn’t a dry hurricane be a … windstorm?

I’ve know 70 year olds down through the years with the beginnings of Alzheimer’s. My sainted mother referred to it as Sometimers, cause sometimes the lights were on but they weren’t home and sometimes they were. The current president is on that continuum. Whether he can make noon January 20th 2021 is a anyone’s guess. I suspect he won’t make it even with the same intellect he has today.

But I’m not a mental health professional.

  5. We are drowning in a rising tide of stupid.

  6. Funny, I didn’t realize that some water was wetter than other water. Thanks for ‘splainin’ that Pres. Trump.

  7. @Micr:

Maybe all of that chemical sweetener in coke he drinks is finally causing cognitive decay. I hope it works fast before 2020.

  8. I SO miss having a President with a vocabulary larger than that of a fifth grader. In recent decades, that’s meant a Democrat. Well, for Dubya a little higher on a good day.

  9. It took effort, but there is finally someone that makes Louie Gohmert look smart in comparison.

  10. Wetter??? What the hell?? Well, those are the facts, ma’am. Or as he sees reality. And thats the problem.

  11. I fully expect to hear Kellyanne and the fair and balanced journalists at Faux News start clarifying these remarks.
He wasn’t talking about the amount of rainfall. He was talking about rainwater being “softer”. Leaving less minerals and residue on the sides of buildings after the floodwaters recede. Obama’s hurricanes were nasty.
Donnie’s hurricanes are tougher, sure, but just think of the cleansing effects they’ll have on the homeless and lower income people plucked from the flooded areas. Those folks will get a decent bath and relocated to areas where they’ll thrive!
The freshly cleansed neighborhoods will be acquired for pennies on the dollar by selfless billionaires who only want to make the profits they so richly deserve as described in the Bible.

  12. This cretin is a living insult to America. I cannot watch or listen to him. May we be freed from his ignorance ASAP.

  13. Linda Phipps says:

Micr: call the dry hurricane a haboob and watch the redneck heads whirl.

  14. He doen’t have a vocabulary that provides the proper words to describe situations. Or people.

  15. Here’s what I think: He doesn’t even have someone write a small script for him so he doesn’t sound like a jerk. He doesn’t care if he does because the people where he went in NC are losers. If they were “winners” they would have left the area. He doesn’t like losers so why bother to be coached.

  16. The man’s a golfer (never mind that he cheats and drives his cart on the greens, he owns the joint). Water has stand points. If it lies lateral and you hit into it the penalty is stroke and distance. If it lies by design across the course and you hit into it, the penalty is two strokes. If nature deposited it where it wasn’t designed to be, self help prevails. Florence is water that nature deposited where it was not intended, so you just lift your ball, clean up and play on. After all Norman Lake stayed within it’s bounds, so no call for federal help.
