West Virginia People I Detest
Oh, this is cute.
It seems that the West Virginia Supreme Court is all Democrats. And, strictly by coincidence they’re all being impeached.
CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The House of Delegates on Monday voted to impeach all four remaining West Virginia Supreme Court justices on 11 various articles of impeachment, covering a range of grounds from wasteful spending, maladministration, incompetency, neglect of duty, and potential criminal behavior.
Additionally, delegates approved a resolution to publicly reprimand and censure all four justices for the conduct covered by the articles of impeachment.
Here’s the deal: One justice resigned. Justice Robin Davis is accusing House of Delegates of impeaching her based on political party. Says she retired to let voters decide replacement.
The GOP-controlled legislature dragged its feet for months on impeaching these justices to prevent their replacement by voters via special elections this fall. Missing today’s deadline lets Republican Gov. Jim Justice appoint their replacements.
Admittedly, some of these guys are stinkers, but nothing that would rise to the level of impeachment on most of the charges.
Let me tell you someone about Jim Justice. He made his money in coal mining.
In 2015, Justice switched from the Republican Party to the Democratic Party and announced his candidacy for Governor in the 2016 election. He ran as a Democrat and defeated the Republican nominee, Bill Cole. Less than seven months after taking office, Justice switched back to the Republican Party the day after announcing his plans at a President Trump rally in the state.
Now there’s a man you can trust!
Thanks to Deb T for the heads up.
This is the classic example of why I rail about those who would support anyone who chooses to run as a D even when it is acknowledged that this is just a “label of convience”.
1Much like lipinski in Ill. or case in hawaii they ran as d’s exclusively because that was the only way to win, or the only slot still vailable.
One is suppose to ignore the fact they adhere to r ideology and will stab the d agend in the back at every chance offered.
But, but, those who promote such quislings, say that it is exclusively a numbers game and as long as it is notched up in the d side it doesn’t matter what they do on policy.
West Virginia is the poster child of this particular form of hypocrisy.
Just as Manchin cannot be trusted to do anything but act as a sabautuer of progressive ideas and promotion of greed (look what he taught his daughter of epipen infamy) so the rest of his tribe of turncoats, and useful idiots cannot be trusted to do anything but to betray humanity in the name of mannon.
So I cannot accept the arguement that the d party should continue to be the frog, in the parable of old, and continue to support and give passage of these scorpion politico’s who are just waiting to sting the D party halfway across a political stream.

2I doubt the other judges were any more honest from what I hear from people living there.
Is it just me, or does anybody else see the opportunity for precedent. Roberts, Alito, Thomas, Gorsuch, and probably Kavanaugh.
3For whom the West Virginia inspired bell tolls.
First day of new congress an omnibus impeachment of all drumpf appointees, judges, admin, cabinet secratary’s etc.
4On grounds of they are fuit of a poisonous candinate who aicheved his office illegally by recruiting forign players in direct contradiction of law and practices.
As sorry a place as West Virginia is, it’s hard to feel sorry for the folks who live there when they keep electing Republicans, especially those associated with coal mining, who keep screwing them and the environment over and over and over.
5Wow! That flip flopping guv reminds me of the history of the state of Florida. For quite some time it bounced between different nations such as Spain then Britain and so on in kind of a round robin. At some point that little bitty panhandle you see on the current maps was way longer and wider and extended into what is now Louisiana between New Orleans and Baton Rouge and all of that right down to the tip of the peninsula where it meets the keys was known as the Republic of Florida. And when it finally was taken by us and made a state, the panhandle ended up shrinking worse than the witch in Wizard of Oz. Now that shrinking deal jut might be a good fit for this jack wagon!
6from what i read they were all stealing antique state property valued in 5 or 6 figures. and they aren’t all democrats. may want to slow down and fact check.
i agree on the motive for the timing.
7Wow! How old does property have to be in order to earn the label “antique?” This is a term I have never heard before and, of course, it has to comet of West Virginia.
