Charles Perry got himself elected to the Texas Senate in a special election last month and gave his first speech.

A recently elected West Texas state senator on Tuesday compared what he called a “spiritual battle” against religion in the United States to the Holocaust.

Apparently, Charles does not know the meaning of the word hyperbole, and a whole lot of other words, either.

He’s obviously going to start off slow-witted and then taper off.

He carefully describes the execution of 10,000 Jews and then says, “Is it not the same than when our government continues to perpetuate laws that lead citizens away from God?”

Well, no.  Not exactly.

He’s going to Austin to fight a “spiritual battle.”  Good luck, dude.  You’re gonna find Republicans hogs wallowing in dirty money and it’s gonna take a 20 buggy prayer meeting to set them straight.  Oh wait, you didn’t mean dirty Republicans?  My bad.
