Welcome to The World's Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc.
My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
Seriously? Someone would invite him?
1Every family has that relative – usually an uncle somtimes an elderly aunt – that you just can’t take anywhere. So the Perry family has pRick.
2Probably, if he didn’t have some radical xtian bunch to pander.
3But only if there’s an open bar.
4Who invited him?
5So his RSVP would say…what? Let me see how the rainbow flag of support is blowing on the day of your wedding? Let me do a poll and see if I need the LBGT vote?
6Perry doesn’t go for that stuff. Weddings, that is. Just out-of-state hotel encounters with underlings while on Texas taxpayer-funded business trips.
7This is not surprising as he used to regularly attend the Gay Bathhouse in Austin. But he was a Democrat then. I guess he found a “cure”. LOL
8Y’all have to read this– it’s a hoot:
http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2015/apr/22/republicans-gay-marriage-supreme-court-decision
The GOP base hates gay marriage, but a majority of Americans accept it now, and the GOP pack are turning themselves inside out trying to go both ways, if you’ll pardon the expression.
“Quick! Find me a gay wedding I can attend right after I condemn gay weddings!”
Texas senator Ted Cruz accused the media of twisting the question into “a battle of emotions and personalities”.
“That’s part of the ‘gotcha game’ the mainstream media plays, where they come after Republicans on every front, and it’s designed to caricature Republicans, to make them look stupid, or evil, or crazy, or extreme,” Cruz said to Hewitt.
As if they need the help.
9Right you are, Rhea. those rwnj’s are masters at looking stupid, crazy, evil and extreme all by theirownselves!
10Cruzwad!
Any gays in their right minds would probably not invite him.
11Well at least they know the food served would be better than Pizza…
Now the really funny part…
12If you felt compelled to differentiate whether the couple being married was straight or gay…
You are already on the losing side…
Republican candidates’ self-help mantra, to be repeated under one’s breath in times of stress: “Give me a few months to catch my breath and suppress my bigotry.”
