Well, Honey, It Seems To Me That Thinking Things Through Has Always Been Your Main Problem
Just our luck – we get Michele Bachmann back from the Swiss.
Days after she joked with a Swiss television reporter about the prospect of running for office in Switzerland., U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann now claims that she is planning to withdraw her dual citizenship.
Oh crap, all those yodeling lessons just wasted. Marcus is not going to be happy when he gets the bill for that.
Thanks to everybody in the entire Juanita Universe for the heads up.
She only wanted the passport because she thought she could use it to cut in line at the Matterhorn ride at Disneyland.
1Darn, they probably didn’t want her either.
2…and here I was hoping she would just renounce her US citizenship .
3Oh crap! Now I have to cancel my “She’s Outta Here” party.
And I’m damned if I’m not gonna be able to return all
4those invitations with her eating that corn dog and Marcus dancing on the front . . .
I’ll donate $50 to the Swiss if they take her, maybe we can start a fund. Only one condition, they can’t give her back.
5Although I thought it was kind of cute that she had done this for her kids (if her original story is to be believed), I also thought it was another version of her normal cri de coeur, “Look at ME!”
But as soon as she began to appear slightly ridiculous and there was a faint taint of the UnAmerican about it, she decided “SCREW the kids, my future Presidency of the U-Nine-Ted States is at risk.”
Is her patriotism so brittle that her US can’t even stand next to a Switzerland for fear of getting foreign cooties?
So instead of having an interesting multi-cultural milieu for her children, she’s turned the whole episode into another reason to despise her.
To paraphrase the immortal Buzz Lightyear: She’s a strange, sad little woman.
6Dang it…there goes my great idea for a re-make of the children’s classic “Heidi” with Mickey B. as the titular character, Rick Santorum as Peter and John McCain as Alm-Uncle…
7LOL Who didn’t see this coming? I knew the first time a teabagger heard “Swiss citizenship” the first word out of their mouth would be “traitor”!
I’d like to know who put the idea into her empty head in the first place because I think someone punked her.
8I think Marcus punked her. He may want an entirely different life, perhaps in Switzerland.
