Welcome to The World's Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc.
My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
Good luck with the clean up, difficult if just things were tossed, even harder if files/documents are missing.
Make sure this isn’t related to the beauty salon or Bubba’s taking down the rethug rat b******s.
1Sorry for your distress. I hope you find everything better there than you expect.
2Hope you’re totin’ your guns.
3My first thought was that this is not a random crime. And I also hope that you’re both armed!
4So sorry, JJ and Bubba!
5I second Grammy97’s opinion. Y’all take care of yourselves.
6I am so sorry to hear about this. I third the Austinhatlady. I hope you haven’t pissed off the local constabulary so much that they won’t give a real effort to find out who did this. I admire your bravery for telling the truth. I also know the reality of living in a small town. Be Careful Out There.
7Very sorry to hear this. Law offices aren’t known for large cash reserves or drug stashes, so this sounds pretty personal. Hope you find the culprits and press charges and that important stuff is not too badly damaged-and be careful like all the smart folks said.
8That seriously sucks–sympathy and the same “Watch your backs, y’all!” everyone else is saying.
E.
9Sorry To here that, but no guns, makes things worse.
10I hope that things were not as bad as it first looked and cleaned up quickly.
11I am sorry that this had to happen to you two!
Who expects any loot at a law office? Musta been after something in particular. Check all the pawn shops…
12Please let all of us know that the two of you are OK. We are sending both of you positive thoughts and prayers that they catch whomever did this and that you have swift clean up. Until this person is caught, please, both of you be careful!
13So sorry to hear about this. Need a posse? I’m in! Bad things happen to good people and you guys are the best…darn those cockroaches!
14Seriously, who breaks into a relatively low-profile Texas lawyers’s office? There are no drugs, there is no cash, there may be minimal electronics and an even more minimal amount of desirous alcohol. Looks like low-info voter retribution to me, and I’m from FloriDUH, where low-info voters may not have been born, but were surely perfected.
15So sorry, I hope all is found in good shape and that the bad guys are caught.
16Another disgruntled GOPer, perhaps…….?
17Sorry to hear this. Hope they are caught soon.
18So sorry. Love, Marge
19Grim news, this. I hope the cleanup isn’t too much work, and that the perp soon discovers the joys of handcuffs.
20Guys – we have a suspect but the police can’t find him. Cash, electronics and sports memorabilia taken. It’s just a matter of time.
21Wow! Sorry to hear you have to go through all the clean up and replacement of stuff. We had it happen to our small residential contracting office, and it was a real mess. Stole the computers and anything electical (how much does the pawn shop give you for a 10 year old Texas Instruments adding machine?). What a hassle for Bubba, especially at the end of the year. Ugh!
22Well, here’s hoping the police get their hands on him soon!
23Sorry about the break in. A person who would do this is a sorry SOB, and on Thanksgiving, too.
That sports stuff probably cannot be replaced.
24Thank you for giving us the update. I’ll ratchet down the worry a little now.
25You know, I’ve been kinda nervous, still proudly displaying my Obama/Biden 2012 bumper sticker on my car; hell, there’s a house down Hwy 624, not too far from where I live, that proudly displays a confederate flag!! Hope the cleanup went well, considering, and I hope the culprits are caught soon!
26John and I wish you all good things right now. Our home was broken into in 2008, which is why I am now leading one of the largest and most active crime watches in the city of Dallas. Our crime rate has plummeted.
27It feels awful to find your home or your place of business invaded by thieves or other low lifes, and the anger levels do go up. I don’t think the vandalism or the robbery would have made me just over-the-top mad but the fact that they hurt one of my cats certainly did !
We’re thinking about you with empathy and concern.
Cash, electronics and sports stuff. Well, then. You can’t POSSIBLY, successfully argue against anything but a random burglary in the state of Texas, can you? Then again, that’s all your protesters are adept at. What you did for this election is SO WAY WORTH this relatively petty backlash. Please let all of us know what we can help you replace.
28Sorry to hear this.
29JJ, here’s some free advice from another lawyer in Lubbock!

30I’m so sorry for the nightmare you & Bubba are facing, especially with the end of year stuff looming. Take care.
31Sorry to hear this–hope the suspect is soon found and it gets resolved soon, I had lots of nasty notes and things stuck under my windshield wiper–but losing personal stuff is so much worse…rooting for the good guys…I am not sports minded, but I’ll help anyway I can..
32Lots of concern–
Elise
Sorry you two are having to go through this. Hope the clean up goes quickly and your losses small.
33Damn.
What a mess to deal with anytime, but especially around “Thanksgiving”.
I hope the perpetrator gets nailed quickly.
Literally.
34What a shame! Please let us faithful customers know how the situation turns out.
35Sorry to hear this. Hope the perp is caught, and hope it turns out not to be personal (although that was my first suspicion).
36I’m been off the computer for several days because of my visiting granddaughter and family. It’s so sad to hear this news about Bubba’s office, and I certainly hope the suspect is caught soon. Having had my own home broken into about 20 years ago and losing valuables, my heart goes out to you two. I’m hoping the missing items can be found and returned.
37Like June, I’ve been off-line for a while during the holiday weekend. Really sad to hear this. Seriously, JJ, let us readers know what we can do to help. Your words and wisdom have helped plenty of us weather storms. Least we can do is help you through this one.
