Well, At Least He’s Not Personally Banned From Entering the U.S.

You’ll be happy to know

“President Trump’s new acting intelligence director, Richard Grenell, used to do consulting work on behalf of an Eastern European oligarch who is now a fugitive and was recently barred from entering the U.S. under anti-corruption sanctions imposed last month by the State Department.”

Grenell wrote several articles defending the oligarch and, just to make it a trifecta at the Slime Races, “Grenell also did not register under the Foreign Agents Registration Act, which generally requires people to disclose work in the U.S. on behalf of foreign politicians.”

Yep, there you go – all the best people.  If you’re looking for employment opportunities, he’ll get to you. Just wait a couple of months.  If you can bring yourself to say, “That handsome Trump guy, he knows all the best words,” then gainful, but temporary, employment awaits you when it’s your turn.

Seriously, where does he find these guys?

Top pay for a ambassador slot is $187,000. Minimum required donation to Donnie* amortizes that to be a loser even before one can wrap one’s lips around the magic words. Of course most of Donnie’s* jobs do come with an almost guaranteed retirement package reserved for you at a federal facility. Pre-register: https://www.bop.gov/inmateloc/

  2. How long until some NSGOP dimwit complains about all these ‘acting’ department heads? Or will they simply stay in their positions, contrary to federal law, while Combover Crime Lord dares the rest of America to try to kick them out?

From the Vlad the donnie Impaler Temporary Employment Agency.
Specializing in providing only the best people to convince the world that America’s government is just as corrupt as any authoritarian regime in the world.
False equivalency on the international stage.
Except it’s getting less false by the day.
    By the tweet.

  4. “President Trump’s new acting intelligence director,…”

When Grenell is on TV, I think the newscasts should run a disclaimer along with his name in the banner under his talking head:

Not A Real Intelligence Director, Acting Portrayal

Doubling up as ambassador to Germany and acting DNI suggests the supply of people willing to work for this regime is drying up. Not to mention all the jobs at State that were never filled in the first place. I choose to find this encouraging.

P.P. #3, I think you’re right. His majesty has said he will no longer say anything about his calls to his BFF so they could be talking every night. And now he’s gone to visit Modi in India. I’ll start the joke and someone finish it: Two racists walk into a bar . . .

  8. The Surly Professor says:

Trump is running out of the folks who thought that he would turn quasi-sane after getting into office, and who subsequently thought they could interpose themselves (and their personal policies) between Trump and the real world. So now it’s down to the outright crooks and nutcases.

“The office neither elevates or degrades a man. What it does is to provide a stage upon which all his personality traits are magnified and accentuated.” – George Reedy (LBJ’s press secretary). And Holy Moly, that is amply illustrated by Trump and his suckups.

  9. If he is working full time as ambassador and full time as DNI, what are the chances that he’s not doing any real work at either?
