We Found the Vote Fraudsters

March 09, 2021 By: El Jefe Category: Voter Suppression

Paxton made a big deal about this one, saying that the “left is gaslighting on voter fraud” pretending that it doesn’t exist.  The little detail he left out was that the arrests that were made last month included a Justice of the Peace of Medina County, Tomas Ramirez, a REPUBLICAN, along with 3 other suspects who had participated in a mail in vote harvesting scheme at managed care facilities.

They always accuse opponents for what they’re doing themselves.  BTW, am I the only one shocked that the Texas AG continues in his position FIVE YEARS after being indicted for felony securities fraud?

  1. Republicans should ask Pogo if they can borrow a quote for their voter fraud schemes:

We have met the enemy, and he is us.

Edit:Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton was indicted 5 years ago. The indictments are now old enough, as progressive groups have cheekily noted, to attend kindergarten.

Our last GOP govermpr next door in NM had her knickers in a twist over voter fraud and spent a fortune (for a poor state) on investigating what she was convinced was a massive problem. Our SOS found a whopping 19 cases of likely voter fraud, which was later reduced to 4 cases, 3 of them Texans voting at vacation property, as I recall, and all Republicans.

Yet they can’t seem to let go of this particular fantasy, probably because so many legal voters here are brown, their ancestors having beaten palefaces to this state by some hundreds to many thousands of years.

They didn’t have the integrity to be ashamed of themselves, either.

Shocked, not shocked. I am shocked that you, JJ, are shocked, given that Texas is essentially a criminal enterprise at this point.

I am not shocked at Paxton having thus far gotten away with it. He is far too useful an idiot to be cast aside just yet. However, when his usefulness is at an end, he will be tarred and feathered, drawn and quartered, and any other punishment that the party can devise, so they can both claim clean hands, and blame someone else for their cupidity.

  5. JJ, no I am not surprised that Paxton is still the AG despite his legal troubles. He is using every legal run-around in the book and then some, but karma will win out!

Not surprised, but angry. The GOP dominance in this state means that courts, the lege, and the executive here are all as rotten as a termite-gnawed shed.
