We Can Disappear You

November 04, 2015 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Well, former House Speak Dennis Hastert just disappeared.

Something is missing from the U.S. Capitol: former Speaker Dennis Hastert’s portrait.

All former speakers have a portrait hanging outside the House floor. But on Monday morning, as the House gaveled into session, Hastert’s portrait was replaced with Frederick Gillett’s. Gillett was speaker between 1919 and 1925.

It’s not clear where Hastert’s portrait is now.

Hmmmmm … has anybody checked the boy’s locker room?

I will admit that Frederick is an imposing looking fellow.

  1. Now, if they’ll just “disappear” the Hastert Rule, the House of Representatives might just be able to, you know, legislate.

    1
  2. So was this guy the problem guy in the 20’s and is just getting around to being put back on the wall?
I really want to know what he did!

Notice how polite Democrats are? If a Democrat did what Hastart did, it would be on Fox News 24×7

Hmmm. Or the dart game at the nearest bar?

  4. Elizabeth Moon says:

Paul Ryan doesn’t care if the House can legislate–he wants to be sure he has his family time, and he wants to make Obama and Clinton look bad.

    4
  5. And let’s try to imagine the right-wing reaction if Democrats had initiated their version of the Hastert Rule first….

  6. Polite Kool Marxist says:

Given the track record of Republicon House Speakers, it’s only natural to speculate as to when Lyin’ Ryan will be revealed for his ‘special’ activities. With luck he’ll disappear faster than the smoke smell in his office carpet.

  7. Sandridge says:

And yet another ‘member’ of the GOPerv’s is banished (temp) until the trail of slime dries out a bit (or whatever it is…).
When he reappears he will be relabeled as a Democrat in all future references (esp. on FuxNooz, Limpballs, et al.).

Hastpervert is a lot like his soulbro Limpballs. Anybody else wonder if they both sometimes jetted down to the Dominican Republic together to find them some m-on-b action?
As when Limpballs was busted by Customs in Floriduh. Returning on the jiz…errr…biz jet from a little sexscapade, for having that oxy prescription that didn’t belong to him?
There were some others aboard at the time, was maybe SoH DH’s presence covered up then?

  8. Portraits of all defrocked Repugnicans should be given to local animal shelters for liquid target practice. Take that, Asstert.

  9. So did DeLay have a portrait as well? And is it still on exhibition? If so, let’s have some real honest open justice! Unhang him, too!

  10. Lunargent says:

So what did this guy do – burn down an orphanage?

So what did this guy do – burn down an orphanage?

(you don’t seem to be very well informed, but:)
If you mean former US Rep. Denny Hastert, R-IL, former Speaker of the House (a BFD), topic of this curious “disappearance” of his official US portrait from a very distinguished place of honor, read on:

Hastert was caught, indicted, and convicted of laundering about $3.2 million as a (an initial) payoff/hush money payment to an unnamed PoI.
    Fine and dandy.
But the real story is that that hush money was (allegations say) to cover up Hastert’s sexual offenses against one or more members of a High School wrestling team (as in young boys), of which Denny was the coach (and a teacher, before his election to the US House).
So, you take it from there…

    Sandridge –

No, I know all about Ass-turd’s transgressions.

I was talking about Gillett. Was he banned to storage for something unsavory, or were they just short on wall space?

    12
  13. Gillett’s big accomplishment was an anti-polygamy law, if memory serves. I think that was back when Republicans were future Democrats.
