Okay, come to find out, Ginni Thomas ain’t real anxious to testify before the Jan 6 Committee.
Not only does the committee have emails between Ginni and John Eastman …
Lawmakers also have text messages Thomas exchanged with White House chief of staff Mark Meadows in which she urged him to work toward overturning Joe Biden’s victory.
But her lawyer, Mark Paoletta, indicated that Ginni’s earlier statement that she was anxious “to come clear up misconceptions” before the committee may not be the operative plan.
“Mrs. Thomas has expressed a willingness to try to come before the Committee as a means of clearing her name,” Paoletta continued. “But, based on my understanding of the facts … I do not believe there is currently a sufficient basis to speak with Mrs. Thomas.”
So clearing her name isn’t sufficient?
Paoletta contends that she simply invited Eastman to come speak to a conservation group, and that her text to Mark Meadows of “Do not concede” was her merely “texting with a friend.”
“Without more information, I am left to believe that, if her name were Ginni Jones, the Committee would never even entertain speaking with her,” he wrote.
Well, damn. That’s some fancy lawyering right there. Honey, they wouldn’t be asking to speak to her if her name was Juanita Jean either. You wanna know why? Because Juanita Jean didn’t try to overthrow the United States government.
. . . and Juanita Jean doesn’t indulge in “pillow talk” with a Supreme, either.
1She and her hubby are so big on the wonderfulness of the olden days so why isn’t she at home being Betty Crocker!
2Her lawyer’s first statement is really a way to twist the actual facts and weasel out of being forced to commit perjury in front of congress. That would be very unbecoming of a supreme’s wify.
And to follow up on her lawyer’s (or maybe that should be lieyer’s) last statement- and Ginni Jones isn’t the spouse of a supreme and been part of a tangled web of promoting the big lie and overturning a lawful election. That’s called a pattern when talking of prosecuting a criminal.
3AND THE LAWYER doesn’t get to make the determination of what is sufficient reason or not.
The fact that she is in regular communication with Eastman and Meadows is enough.

Dallas police on Tuesday arrested the mayor of Pilot Point on suspicion of soliciting a minor, the department says.
Matthew McIlravy, 42, was arrested Tuesday morning and booked into the Dallas County jail on a charge of online solicitation of a minor under the age of 14, a 2nd-degree felony, Dallas police said.
7McIlravy was arrested at the Pilot Point City Hall building, City Manager Britt Lusk said in a statement to NBC 5. “This pending matter is being handled by non-city agencies and the City has no further information or comment,” Lusk said.
Dallas police said McIlravy’s arrest was the result of a five-month investigation by Dallas police and involved the department’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit and help from the U.S. Marshals Task Force, Homeland Security Investigations, Texas Department of Public Safety and the Collin County District Attorney’s office.”
That’s odd. When the law goes after anyone originating from an impoverished part of any society, they do so swiftly and without hesitation. Just because she sleeps with a Supreme should not relieve her. Can’t wait to see what her ambulance chaser says when she is subpeoned. Maybe something like the old song that says “will not be at lunch tofay.” But heck, that’s just one-eyed little me thinking that the application of law is equal, starting from questioning someone about something.
8If her name were Ginni Jones and she had a husband named Jones who has a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court, and if she had email exchanges with an insurrectionist’s chief of staff, then damn straight the J6 committee would want to talk to her.
