Welcome to The World's Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc.
My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
With 22 touchdowns in 132 points in his rookie year, Gale Sayers was a phenomenal football player. If you know anything about Brian Piccolo you also know he was an incredible person. The story of his battle with dementia is worth reading about.
1https://amp.kansascity.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/vahe-gregorian/article139455608.html Sayers was a good man.
That book about Brian Piccolo is where I first fell in love with sports stories even though I am not a sports fan. (Sorry folks, my dad was a coach, referee and player of all things sports and I grew up on bleachers, so got my fill).
2Sad losses this past week. Remembering them all.
I’m also thinking abou Breonna Taylor’s death. Apparently the police, prosecutors (in what they chose to present) and citizens on the Louisville grand jury felt her death was what needed to happen. She got killed even though the police were looking for a man, then they did nothing to help save her. What’s wrong with that picture.
3are you sure?

4Yeah, the Babylon Bee is satire
5Brian was a salty dude. In the fullness of time he has become an icon and an example of fortitude, gratitude & attitude. He lives, like Sayers, on the pages of History.
6The collar pic is from the Babylon Bee, which is a satire site. So, sorry, but not really happening. It would be great if it were, though!
7Given the number of make believe stories the Republicans willingly believe when told by the POTUS, why not like an image, and wish it were true. Maybe the Lakers didn’t wear them, but lots of liberals are wearing them, or remembering those lace collars and the grandeur of the woman who wore them. Better a lace collar as a token of respect than what the GOP might wear in honor of Trump. What would that be? A hamburger? A golf club? Lying pants on fire?
8@Susan Dress:
The hangman’s noose would more be a better way to honor Cheeto Jesus’ strangling our democracy.
9The Senate won’t be honoring RBG with a resolution because of Texas’s junior senator.

Thanks, Ted.
