Uh, Maybe It Was From Eating Roaches
This is not very political, but I am fairly sure this guy is a Republican.
Broward County authorities say the winner of a roach eating contest died shortly after eating dozens of roaches and worms.
Several contestants ate insects to win a python, the grand prize of the Friday night contest at Ben Siegel Reptile Store in Deerfield Beach.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office says the winner of the challenge, 32-year-old Edward Archbold, became ill soon after and collapsed in front of the store. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The sheriff’s office said Monday it was waiting for an autopsy report to determine a cause of death.
Let me save Broward County some money. He ate damn roaches. He was probably going to eat the python, too.
Myself, I think I would rather die before eating the roaches.
1He could be this year’s Darwin Award winner.
2Shallow end of the gene pool for sure.
3Sam, that was a baby pool!
4Hey y’all, watch this!
(most commonly spoken last words in the South)
5@ Carol … good suggestion! I love the Darwin Awards and this guy should be on that list! Just boggles my old mind as to some of the stupid stunts folks will do to just … win … something … anything!!
6No doubt the python is relieved. Definite Darwin contender.
7Who could have known that roaches are toxic? How many people eat them regularly? Marvin Zindler probably could have given us a good guess.
8One of those roaches must have gone bad.
9Well if he doesn’t win the Darwin award (though he would be tough to beat) he for sure wins the award for Worst last meal EVER.
10I can’t top what Carol just said, but will add: The other most popular last saying is “Hold my beer and watch this!”
11That is gross.
12Doesn’t anybody here think the “prize” of a PYTHON is not such a good thing? Pythons are not native to the US and the Burmese Pythons are destroying the wildlife in the Everglades. I’m sorry this fool died for this ridiculous contest, but really . . .
