Two Announcements

October 29, 2019 By: El Jefe Category: Trump

Last night, Jimmy Kimmel compared Barack Obama’s announcement of the killing of Osama Bin Ladin with Trump’s announcement of the killing of Al Baghdadi.  Obama took 9 minutes.  Trump took 48.  As you can imagine, the comparison is jaw dropping.

  1. WA Skeptic says:

You just know that bloated idiot feels so small next to his predecessor; he can’t do anything without trying to compare his accomplishments to Mr Obama. Sorry, Donnie. Your meandering and incoherent yelps fade to inaudible to the other’s neat and economical (not to mention educated) comments.

You will never be fit to polish that man’s shoes.

  2. Wow.
Trump sounds like the crazy guy at the bus station you can’t get away from.

  4. I would like to see Kimmel’s mashup presented as a news item on every news cast just to widen its distribution.

If Kimmel’s teacher handed out a “compare and contrast” homework assignment, well, little Jimmy gets an A+.

Trump’s Stated Plan to Loot Syria’s Oil Reserves ‘Would Be a War Crime,’ Critics Say

    Edit:
“He’s pulling back that curtain and just telling you the truth.”

Trump told reporters in his Sunday press conference that the U.S. is entitled to Syria’s oil following the withdrawal of troops from the northeastern region of the country bordering Turkey. The president pulled soldiers out of the area earlier this month, while deploying troops to other parts of the country to protect oil fields from ISIS.

“The oil is, you know, so valuable,” Trump told reporters Sunday. “It can help us, because we should be able to take some also. And what I intend to do, perhaps, is make a deal with an ExxonMobil or one of our great companies to go in there and do it properly…and spread out the wealth.”

  6. Still likes lying though!

He has shown himself to be a malignant narcissist and a habitual liar. The Washington Post’s ongoing tally of Trump lies is now at almost 14,000. These are not “misstatements” or “gaffes” or the semi-harmful utterances of a fabulist: Donald Trump behaves like a pathological liar.

Isn’t that why he brought Gaetz? “They really don’t like you, Matt. They’re saying ‘Lock him up.’ You better wear body armor if you go to another game, believe me.'”

  12. Just like a lifetime drunk at the bar – never ever knows when to quit, but then he’ll quit when it kills him.

  13. Obama sounds so coherent – I miss that.

    13
  14. I’m certainly not the first to make this observation, but I continue to be utterly astounded that so many people admire or outright worship this obnoxious fool. They think he’s smart and brave and honest. He’s America’s savior. But he’s just icky. Who would want to even be in the same room with this guy? How out of touch with reality is someone who is this clueless? But there are millions of them. It makes me deeply sad for the future of our country.

Gramma Ada, casting no asparagus on your viewing choice, but I would actually watch a corny sob story than one second of Trump.

    15
  16. I am delighted to, er, sort of, agree with ‘el jefe’ in that I, too, am enormously grateful for Obama being somewhat more reticent than the ‘orange hooter ‘n’ honker’, not least because so much of what he said was piffle!

  17. thatotherjean says:

Besides the length and incoherence of Trump’s speech, there’s another, major difference between his and Obama’s accounts of the deaths of major Middle Eastern terrorists: Obama was substantially telling the truth, and Trump was making a lot of it up to try to make himself look like a hero.

    17
  18. C’mon people!
Don’t you know it takes time to explain complex military terms like “canine” to the American people? “I call them dogs” articulated the President. Proving once again, he may be a billionaire (or not) but he’s just like us. He’s a man of the people.

Not like that professorial Obama, who always expected us to come to our television screens with background on the subject.

Army officer to testify he raised flags about Trump’s Ukraine call

Alexander Vindman, an lieutenant colonel who served in Iraq and, later, as a diplomat, is prepared to tell House investigators that he listened to President Donald Trump’s July 25 call with new Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and reported his concerns to the NSC’s lead counsel, according to prepared testimony.

“I was concerned by the call,” Vindman will say, according to the testimony obtained Monday night by The Associated Press. “I did not think it was proper to demand that a foreign government investigate a U.S. citizen, and I was worried about the implications for the U.S. government’s support of Ukraine.”

Vindman is the first official who listened in on that call to testify as the impeachment inquiry reaches deeper into the Trump administration and Democrats prepare for the next, public phase of the probe. He’s also the first current White House official to appear before the impeachment panels.

Trump took to Twitter Tuesday to denounce the probe as a “sham,” adding: “Why are people that I never even heard of testifying about the call. Just READ THE CALL TRANSCRIPT AND THE IMPEACHMENT HOAX IS OVER!”
