Trump’s End Game?

November 10, 2020 By: El Jefe Category: 2020 Election, Alternative Facts, Trump, Trumpists

Donny Deutsch, a former Trump friend, was on MSNBC’s Nicolle today giving his perspective on Trump’s inexplicable claims of massive non-existent voter fraud.  His take?  Business. Business, plain and simple.  And it makes perfect sense.  Deutsch says that the “Trump Revolution Network“, a new subscription channel, is in preproduction preparing to launch as soon as Trump storms out of the White House claiming that the election was stolen from him.  He also asserted that Trump has already trademarked the term”Telerally” and is trying to set himself up as Republican kingmaker, demanding that future candidates kiss his ring to avoid his Omniscient Twitter Attacks that would sink the campaign of anyone who dares cross him.  Later on The Beat with Ari Melber, guest and confessed felon, Michael Cohen, pretty much confirmed the same theory, that this is all staging for the next step in Trump’s toxic career.  Cohen claims that Trump has no remaining revenue left, and is going to attempt to establish himself as the gatekeeper to Republican Nirvana.

This makes more sense to me that any other theory for his idiotic claims of voter fraud, even going so far as sending out Trump Humper Mike Pompeo to assert that there will be a “peaceful transition of power to a second Trump administration.”  With all the opacity of current events, one thing is clear…Trump and all of his enablers, including Pompeo, Barr, Trump Jr, Ivanka, Jared, Eric, Miller, and other Trumpists MUST be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.  It’s hard to overthrow democracy from a prison cell.  It might, though, be a good setting for Trump’s new reality series, Celebrity Felon, Cell Block C Edition.

  1. Once he’s out of office he gets treated like any other Twitter user so we’ll see how that goes.

    1
  2. I have to believe that Trump’s family and sycophants are going to get swept up in all the New York indictments. It’s more likely the new network will be called Trump Stay Out Of Jail Network. His legal fees are going to be astronomical and his attorneys are going to want payment up front. If he uses Rudy, that would be an aggravating factor sure to increase his sentence.

  3. Steve from Beaverton says:

It turns out that the usps worker that was the star of Giuliani’s 4 Seasons presentation of voter fraud evidence recanted his statement on his affidavit. He was paid $136,000 (via go fund me) for his statement. The other interesting thing about this whole affair was this evidence was used by miss Lindsey Graham in a letter to billie Barrf to open a federal investigation of voter fraud. So of course he did. Hope this comes back to haunt both of these Trumpf fools. No wonder barrf’s head of voting investigations resigned. He was no fool.

  4. Jane & PKM says:

Makes sense for the fu king moron and his self interests, El Jefe.

But for the Republicon Party? Sounds more like a suicide pact among morons. What Goldwater said about the southern strategy with evangelicals applies tenfold to Donnie and his covidiot base. Reince Priebus gambled with the future of the RNC when he opened their coffers to Donnie. Given another year and that con will add unelectable to their current bankruptcy woes.

Add to that the “bigger” roles Dimwit Jr. and his playmate Kimberly are angling to play at the RNC and is there any reason other than a death wish to play the Trump Crime Family game?

    4
  5. Celebrity Felon, Cell Block C edition…love it!!!

    5
  6. Sadly, I will never get to see an episode. I’ll be damned if we would buy a subscription and I cannot think of anyone I know who would!
Will Trump Jr’s slut muffin throw in a lap dance for the first 100 Subscribers? She ought to be head of marketing.

    6
  7. Any sponsors they get need to be told, and by millions of people, that they will be boycotted. All of them. No exceptions.

    7
  8. If that’s truly the plan, especially the metaphorical kiss the ring part, it’s probably in the best interests of Democrats to request extra Secret Service agents for Trump so he’s protected from conniving, fed up & exasperated Republicans who can’t take it anymore.

    8
  9. How perfectly horrifying. Think Jim Jones, and the rubes will be EVERYWHERE…

    9
  10. My guess is that Trump isn’t admitting to himself how much trouble he’ll be in on January 22. This time, there likely won’t be a DA reluctant to press charges against a well-connected white guy. He may think the Florida courts won’t extradict him to New York

    10
  11. Only 2 ways this carnival of crime, callousness and corruption ends:

A self-pardon ~ Trump for the record tweeted, “I have the absolute right to PARDON myself.”
    *************************************************
A prospective pardon from Pence would mirror the one conferred on Richard Nixon by Gerald Ford in 1974, which gave Nixon “a full, free, and absolute pardon… for all offenses against the United States”

Those deals would be moot if the ganglord calls for bloody revenge by the boogaloo bois or the proud boys if his schemes start to rot before the Jan 20 deadline.

    11
  12. The psychologists’ take on Trump’s behavior is that he is desperate to remain “relevant.” In other words, the center of a universe where he is revered and acknowledged as one who is all powerful. His demon spawn need a way to continue the family’s criminal enterprise since the Trump brand no longer has any cachet.
What I wonder, though, is who is going to fund Trump’s new venture? He’s up to his eyeballs in debt and has both the attorney general of New York and the Manhattan district attorney nipping at his heels. I doubt Trump’s pal Putin is going to continue to back a loser who can’t help him.

    12
  13. Joe's head is clearing....bit by bit by bit says:

Joyce at #6……I’m sure you didn’t mean to use the words head and marketing in the same sentence (Bad Joe Bad Joe).

I’m having trouble seeing the end of Trumpf (though I’d love to), there’s way too many humanoids (or hemorrhoids) who’ve bought into (and will likely continue to buy into) his endless line of crap. Seems like even if He smacks them in the eye with an icepick, it’s all just “Please Sir, May I have Another”. Glenn “The Blaze” is still making a living, Rush “The Douche” is still making a living….I wouldn’t count on Pootin to support ‘Orange Menace of Putrescence’ (I love you Stacy Abrams) as much as the bumper crop of dumbasses who believed him this time. One can only hope

    13
  14. Steve from Beaverton says:

It’s hard to believe that the gop cannot see what Trumpf is doing, that they’re being duped by a mentally ill malignant narcissist. And they just go along with it. Well, the need to maintain power trumps democracy for them. The tea party movement under knute gingrich was also a sick movement but eventually they lost dominance in the gop. It’s going to take a long time for the gop to purge itself from their current sickness because they created a mentally ill base that can’t be reasoned with.

    14
  15. Buttermilk Sky says:

If 71 million suckers pony up just ten dollars a month, he can die as rich as he was born. If they kick him off Twitter there are plenty of other platforms where he can send his flying monkeys to make trouble for anyone who angers him. We just have to hope he wasn’t paying attention during intelligence briefings and has nothing to sell to other countries.

    15
  16. Steve from Beaverton — Yes, the problem is there are 70 million + lunatics that will continue to worship Trump. They are mentally ill, because they are in a cult of personality. I’ve started responding on facebook to the crazies with the Mental Health Hotline number, asking them to look for help.

    16
  17. megasoid, your suggestion that Pence could pardon His Putrescence makes me wonder if he’s planning to throw up his hands and quit just in time for Pence to do his hocus-pocus and keep him out of jail free. Except that my understanding is that the State of NY is the entity going after him, and a Federal pardon won’t help him with that. Breaks my heart. [not]

    17
  18. Most people would want to cure electile dysfunction. Trump counts on it.

    18
  19. I’m no expert on demographics. But I think the percentage of people who voted for fucking trump would make an ad executive drool. I’ve said for years that the first freedom guaranteed in the Bill of Rights (free speech) could be our downfall
Freedom of speech protects liars and propagandists.
They’ve used it to terrible effect, and will continue to do so until we figure out how to convince people that it’s propaganda

    19
  20. Joe @13—now, would a southern lady do sumthin like that? Of course, I did. Miss slut muffin is beneath contempt. I read yesterday that her stud may be the headliner ( yes, pun intended) for 2024. He’d better ditch the bitch And find religion.

    20
  21. Harry Eagar says:

That might be the plan but I don’t think it will work. How many of his adoring fans did Glenn Beck carry to his network? Limbaugh won’t be around to shill for it.

I predict there will be a run on Kleenex as the trumpeters sniff through their farewells, but the key word there is farewell.

    Steve from Beaverton,

The USPS worker never got to enjoy any of the money, GoFundMe returned the donations!

  23. Elizabeth Moon says:

I want them all to face charges, trials, and (given a sane jury in each case) appropriate punishment for every single crime they committed. Between now and then, we could impeach Kavanaugh, Barr, and start investigating some of the worst Senators, including Cornyn. Instead of them keeping everybody else busy trying to protect *something*, let’s keep *them* busy spending money trying to protect their own liberty.

    23
  24. Nick Carroway says:

As a money making proposition it makes perfect sense. It’s one of the curses of the would be author. Do you sell your soul and write something so outrageous that one percent and only one percent would buy it? Well, one percent of 350 million is 3.5 million. That’s pretty damn good in royalties.

The Fox News and OANNs of the world will get by with a dedicated audience of only one to three percent of the population. Of course, if Trump’s station comes online, those three will be competing for the same small audience.

What is just sickening is that so many don’t care about the collateral damage. Sure, we know Trump and his family don’t care. They are just riding the gravy train as far as it will take them. Elected officials and life long government employees should know better. Sure, this cow manure won’t go anywhere, but it sews the seeds of discontent amongst people that might not be emotionally or psychologically stable.

    24
  25. YELLOWSTONE says:

Trump’s base loved to watch him make the liberals cry. Once he leaves office in January he will become irrelevant. He will just be another conservative voice ranting and raving on TV or the internet.

    25
  26. john in denver says:

    Nick Carroway @24 …

Possible “deal” … Trump offers his golden personality to OAN Network in exchange for shifting the name to “Make America Great” Network, or maybe “America First” Network, plus an income from his own show. OAN, seeing a potential bonanza of viewers, goes along with it. Sinclair, wanting to be in TV, offers some money in exchange for alliance, a bit of control, and some of the profits. All of them tell cable networks to add the new combine to their basic cable package, and Donald goes from city to city to hold rallies for getting on the cable package.

A win all the way around for the participants and their viewers. A loss to civic engagement and trust in government.

    26
  27. I’m afraid he’s going to start a war. I just hope the rest of the world has enough self-control not to let him.

    27
  28. Steve from Beaverton says:

The only way Trumpf and his family get out of the limelight will be if they’re consumed by legitimate indictments and court cases. Emphasize “cases”, plural, and cases for which billie barrf can’t be his fixer.
If not, they’ll be on all over right wing conspiracy sites, fox “news”, Sinclair broadcasting, etc. but even if Trumpf is tied up (literally), this stolen election message will be the rallying cry of repugnantican politicians for at least the next 5 years. There is just too big a cult following to not make money off of it and use in campaigns. Expect more QAnon influence as well.

    28
  29. Nick Carroway @24

He’ll have the same sponsor list that Glenn Beck has. The MyPillow guy and his ilk only have so much advertising budget.

You might want to look into an even scarier media blitz going on right now. An outfit called Metrics Media has launched hundreds of fake right wing newspaper websites across the country disguised as local news outlets. Nobody seems to know where the funding is coming from but these sites don’t have paywalls so anybody can read them.

There are over 50 in Texas alone with names like Abilene Times, Austin News, Corpus Christi Sun, Dallas City Wire, Ft Worth Times, Houston Republic, San Antonio Standard, South Galveston News, etc., etc.

These sneaky bastards need to be called out.

    29
  30. Steve from Beaverton @ 28,

If those those indictments result in prison time, then I hope he and enablers are locked up in a far away prison (Diego Garcia would work nicely, I think) for a long time without cable or internet or phone. Extinguish his cult and its’ destructive influence.

    30
  31. Steve from Beaverton says:

Thinking this might be off topic (which has never stopped me), but since it’s election fraud related, what’s damn Patrick trying to prove with his $1 million “reward” for “evidence” of voter fraud?? Is it he just wants his share of publicity? Trying to please the great orange one? Who’s paying for it and how many “winners” can there be? Will stick notes count?

    31
  32. There are 2 reasons Republicans are putting up with Trump’s antics: #1 is Georgia senate runoff and #2 is Georgia senate runoff. They actually thinks this will help get Republicans out to vote!
Why does Nick Carroway always sound as fake as a $2 dollar bill?

    32
  33. Barb, not sure what point you are trying to make, but two dollar bills aren’t fake.

    33
  34. Jane & PKM says:

    Dollar short, Barb?

    34
  35. Maybe its time we started questioning the vote in states Trump won.

    35
  36. speaking of Georgia senate race, what is the maximum donation from an actual real person, as opposed to PAC or BIGWIG?

    36
  37. Trumps end game is a replay of 1876. Tilden won popular and electoral votes. But some states didn’t certify their results Hayes became president. The hand recount in Georgia is a major step. 32 days to count x millions and that is assuming they are only recounting the presidential votes

    37
  38. Steve from Beaverton says:

This may be what the gop’s current endgame is-
    https://www.rawstory.com/2020/11/fox-news-now-says-were-just-not-sure-if-joe-biden-will-be-next-president/

Realize this is fox news and they may be trying to get back cultists that fled when they called Biden the winner, but Georgia, Michigan and WI gop legislators are already discussing to refuse seating Biden electors. That would be a constitutional crisis that if successful would be the end of our democracy. This also shows just how ridiculous the EC as an institution is and needs to be abolished.

    38
  39. The Surly Professor says:

And there is Tom the Dancing Bug’s take on Trump post-January:

    https://i2.wp.com/boingboing.net/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1512cbCOMIC-white-house-in-exile.jpg

Don’t miss Don Jr. And Eric’s Chari-tee at the bottom.

    39
  40. Nick Carroway says:

    So, I’m fake? Interesting.

    40
  41. john in denver says:

    Linda …..
FEC contribution limits for U.S. House and Senate candidates— $2,800 per election to each candidate. (Primary and general elections are counted as separate elections, even if the primary is uncontested.)

    41
  42. john in denver says:

Georgia recount … will be done by hand, and also be a recanvass AND a risk-limiting audit, according to GA Sec of State.

about 5 million votes. Deadline for GA certification is Nov 20. so, 8 days, 24 hours a day, 60 minutes an hour … something like 435 votes per minute, around the clock.

Of course, each vote needs to be eyeballed by people of different parties, to insure there is no systematic bias.

I’m looking forward to hearing the details of the porcess.

    42
  43. I really, really, really want the prosecutor in the Southern District of New York to succeed!!!

    43
  44. Harry Eagar says:

John, 136 counties in Georgia and the count is done by county so the rate is more like 3 votes a minute, but much higher in Fulton and other big counties.

    44
  45. The Surly Professor says:

Now I know we all are itching to donate to Trump’s “election defense” fund. But it seems the first $8000 will actually go to the RNC and the newly created Trump PAC:

    https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-election-trump-fundraising-insigh/donations-under-8k-to-trump-election-defense-instead-go-to-president-rnc-idUSKBN27R309

So this lines up with the whole dumb meghillah being about getting money to buy the Georgia run-off elections at best. Equally likely, Trump’s whining about “steal the vote” is just a cover for his real goal: “steal the money”. The PAC can do things like pay Trump for travel, giving “speeches”, and damn near anything he wants.

    45
  46. the NFL could put this baby to sleep if they declare that any state that fiddles with their electors will NEVER get to host a Super Bowl. And NCAA likewise for BCS champ game, final 4s, etc.

    46
