Trump Wreckage
There was an interesting article today about how those aides who stuck with Trump to the end are facing a very bleak future, most of them not even able to find jobs.
Not so Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
Former Trump White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders is expected to launch her campaign for Arkansas governor on Monday, according to three people familiar with her plans.
Sanders has long been planning to run for governor, and Donald Trump signaled his support for her anticipated bid upon her 2019 departure from the White House.
She brings grim to new heights and that is just what Arkansas needs.
She left the White House before it got itchy crazy, but naming her America’s Best Liar will only help her get elected in Arkansas.
My Arkansas Dippity-Do supplier tells me that the only person who could beat her is Bill Clinton, but only if he leaves Hillary in New York and gets off that weird vegetarian diet.
As the owner of a farm in Arkansas, I do not regard this as good news. (I don’t get a vote, however.)
1I’m sure she’ll be lyin in Little Rock. Perfect fit for a state like Arkansas. I spent some time there as a kid visiting my grandparents farm. That was where I first learned what racism is. Doubt anything has changed
2Sorry Harry Eagar, didn’t mean any disrespect. I know there are plenty of good people in Arkansas. Unfortunately there are enough like the huckabees to keep the state super red.
3With all due respect, I have zero sympathy for those people who aided and abetted Donald Trump while he was in office, and can’t find jobs now that he’s out. They knew it was a snake when they picked it up. And I hope the people of Arkansas have better sense than to elect Sarah Huckabee Sanders as governor–but I doubt it.
4The myth of the Hydra returns.
5Cut off the liar’s head, metaphorically, and two liars spring up. Sarah Sanders for governor, Ivanka for Senator in Florida?
A strange place, Arkansas. The difference between, say, Jonesboro and Hot Springs must be at least as great as the difference between New York City and Little Rock.
As one of two states (with West Virginia) that lost population most years since World War II, it has changed probably less than other southern states.
6She could campaign a Muumuu of Hypocrisy and still get voters because she’s a fine Christian woman . . . And she’ll tell them so at every opportunity!
7So she’ll be the Chris Christie of Arkansas? Sweet deal for political cartoonists!
