Trump Now Going After German Cars
The business press is now widely reporting that Trump, after wrecking relationships with all of our allies, is now poised to further urinate on German relations by slapping a 25% tariff on imported German cars. German automakers’ stocks have fallen over $20 billion since Trump started his most recent attack on trading partners. Business Insider is reporting that Trump told French president Macron in April that he’s going to keep the tariffs on until there are “No more Mercedes models rolling down 5th Avenue.”

Later this week the WashPost will review a book by James Patterson and Bill Clinton called “The President is Missing.” “If only” was my first thought. Alas, I think it’s a novel. The so-called president we’ve got now is missing a boatload of things that a president, or for that matter an adult human, ought to have, starting with impulse control.
If, in the novel, he’s been kidnapped, and he’s anything like this one, let them keep him. We don’t want him back.
7Rhea, Dotard45 is more O Henry than Patterson. Donnie ‘fits’ the kid character in “The Ransom of Red Chief” with a few added twists of Salinger’s Holden Caulfield grasp of truth & reality. Dotard45 or Rudy G as adult characters? not so much. They seemed to have gone from diapers to Depends missing all the developmental stages between those two points.
8Is it possible he “thinks” that tariffs on German cars will get Detroit building Packards and Ford Fairlanes again? If so, Japanese and Korean cars will be next. Senility plus stupidity is a nasty combination.

I think the orange snotface is jealous of anything of quality, since he craves quality and thinks he has it, or should have it, and the sad thing is, he IS a Yugo among BMWs and nothing he can ever do or say will place him on the shelf labeled “Quality.” Actually, there is apparently a car manufactured in Russia (I just got back from St. Petersburg)that makes the Yugo look grand. The people in the factory of the Ladac or whatever it was called, refuse to drive these cars. I did see a couple, but mostly, in Europe, they drive all those evil German cars, with some Skodas, Kias, etc. And yeah, down south, them autoMObiles constructed there, absent the unions, are shipped elsewhere, as the residents can’t afford them. And yes: trumpster all the way… Morons all.

During USSR time I think the car the populace was stuck with was the Trabant, a piece o’ crap only slightly better than the Yugo. Pathetic.
If pres Animal Shithole wants to ban imports I imagine well be driving cars like we had pre-1980s. Yeah, those cars. If you reached 75,000 on the odometer that was reasonable reliability and time to sell. Ohferfuckssake.

17My first new car was a 1971 Pinto. It was $50 less than a VW Beetle which seemed like a lot of money on my limited budget. Virtually, everything failed on the car including the engine after only 5 years. I vowed never to waste my money again on an American made car.
