To The Surprise of Nodamnbody
Little Marco must have woken up this morning with a horse’s head in his bed …
Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) announced Monday morning that he would support President Trump’s pick to lead the State Department, removing the last significant stumbling block to the nomination.
Rubio, who aggressively questioned secretary of State nominee Rex Tillerson during his hearing earlier this month, had been the lone Republican holdout on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
… so now we will have a jackass’s butt in is bed.
Truly, little Marco. Tiny little all talk and no action Marco.
What a wimp.
Little Water Boy who hated his Senate job and didn’t do it ran again. He flipped, flopped and failed his first term on immigration reform, then took a long nap at taxpayer expense. He’s back because he couldn’t find a job. He’s a known nonentity.
He was almost willing to take a stand on Tillerson, if he could find cover behind McCain and Graham. They folded, he flopped.
Oy vey. Vlad just ate the chicken hawks.
1He vacillates like a beer sign in the wind.
2If he was the lone GOP holdout it wouldn’t have made any practical difference anyway. As for consistency and self-respect, they all handed those to Donnie already.
Speaking of consistency and Donnie in the same sentence, which is nearly always a mistake, he just said that there ought to be fewer nuclear weapons, after saying last week that we needed a lot more. Damn, we need an adult in the White House. This fool flips more than a cheap flag in a hurricane.
3Breaking: Marco Rubio gives up all pretense of growing a spine. No word yet on his capacity to run without one.
4Marco has no principles that he is aware of, it’s all political calculus to him.
Den,you are absolutely right! Al the while he was resisting you could look in his eyes and see the wheels clicking away and the number 2020 written on his forehead!
5@Rhea, my relatives who voted for Trump keep posting on FB that we need to ignore what Trump says because his actions are what counts. And they are, of course, certain that he will end his first term a truly beloved president. After I stopped retching, I realized there is some truth to what they said. We really cannot put much stock in anything Trump says. He doesn’t know what he’s saying most of the time and does remember anything he said 10 minutes ago. Back in the day, the saying was a man is only as good as his word. I prefer to believe that, even though Trump followers have thrown that adage out with the trash.
6No wonder I am calling this the Rubber Stamp Congress. And the proposed cabinet is the Cabinet of Tapeworms.
7Makes me wonder what the Russkies have on him, Grumpa McCain & Graham-cracker (et al.), courtesy of their hacks of the RNC server & other databases. It would be irresponsible not to speculate!
