This Is Gonna Be Such Fun
This morning, Chris Christie said that Rand Paul should be blamed if this country has another fatal terror attack.
“And that’s why what Rand Paul has done to make this country weaker and more vulnerable is a terrible thing, and for him to raise money off of it is disgraceful,” Christie said, referring to Paul’s role in forcing the expiration of the Patriot Act in June. “It’s disgraceful.”
“We’re going to look back on this — listen this morning — and he should be in front of hearings in front of Congress if there’s another attack, not the director of the FBI or the director of the CIA,” he said.
Whoa Boy, that takes the heat off President Obama and Hillary Clinton, doesn’t it?
More important question for Christie: When did America become such a nation of sissies?
Thanks to Willie for the heads up.
C’mon, everyone knows that he next terrorist attack will be because of gay marriage!
1Well, it is a relief to finally have something that is NOT Obama nor Clinton’s fault!
2“When?” is the easy question. That happened in the period between 2000 and 2008, when the Darth Cheney administration raised the Bed Wetting Battle Flag over the ruins of NYC to blow sissified legislation past the US Constitution and through Congress.
Enticed by jingoistic titles like the “Patriot Act” and “Homeland Security” spurred on by a corporate media all too willing to announce imaginary threat levels 24/7, Congress and too much of the public bought into the flags of false fear. Home Depot and Lowe’s cashed in on more duct tape sales than they would expect in advance of a hurricane.
Lindsey Graham is still quaking in his boots as he advances the Cheney message: “kill ‘them’, before they kill us.” Seriously, Republicons need to wash their stinking sheets, take a deep breath and actually think about the cycle of violence unleashed by their paranoid unprovoked attacks on Iraq.
AS General Colin Powell said: “the Pottery Barn rule: You break it, you own it.”
Republicons, the alleged party of “personal responsibility,” need to be challenged at every election, local, state and national for the exact date they plan to accept responsibility for their foreign policy and economic disasters.
As for their family values memes, a picture is worth a thousand words. When the ‘cons yap, picture these poster children – Josh Duggar, Ted Nugent and Bristol Palin.
3Oh, boy, these tough-guy armchair generals, most of whom have never served a day in combat, just can’t wait to throw our young people into battle. Go over there and fight first, then let’s see how tough you are.
4“Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to do the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and for exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country.”

There really isn’t enough popcorn in America to last 16 months.
6oooh, watching them rip each other new anal canal’s(just for your mom) is going to be so much fun.
7Aw, heck, Marcia – they’ll argue that if there hadn’t been an Obama or a Hillary, there wouldn’t be a Rand Paul!
8According to mediamatters.com, “Since 9/11, more Americans have died at the hands of homegrown “white supremacists, antigovernment fanatics and other non-Muslim extremists than by radical Muslims,” the New York Times reported this week. Citing a count provided by Washington research center New America, the Times confirmed that with the race-base mass murder in Charleston, S.C. last week, 48 Americans have now been killed by “people espousing racial hatred, hostility to government and theories such as those of the ‘sovereign citizen’ movement,” as compared to 26 Americans who have been killed by “self-proclaimed jihadists.”
So, which kind of fatal terror attack do you suppose Christie is threatening us with?
9‘Scuse me, but I think Christie is as guilty of spewing word salad as the Sock Puppet! What the hell did he actually say, and where’s the stuff to back it the hell up?
10Omg – who would have thought that Christie would prove Rand Paul right?
Rand Paul: “Some of them, I think, secretly want there to be an attack on the United States so they can blame it on me.”
And now Christie walks right into Paul’s prediction. No, he’s not walking; he’s charging full steam.
And here all along, I thought Paul was being paranoid. Trust Chris Christie to prove him right and me wrong.
Yep, this is gonna be fun. Fire up the popcorn popper.

So I guess instead of scrutinizing Muslim-looking guys at airports and such, they should be looking for CSA flag tattoos and other rightwing nuttery. I’d worry more about gunhumpers with the maturity and sense of entitlement of a three-year-old than about the folks at the mosque two miles away.
12I go to a site called Joe My God. Joe Jervis is the proprietor. All things gay, political and sometimes weird. When he posts vids like this the title is usually something like “Chris Christie Says Something…”.
I believe that sums this story up.
13In response to the question posed by governor Chrispie, as reported by the original poster. I’d assert we got to be such a nation of sissies right around the same time we got so fat.
14Mark my words, if the repubs get the white house in 2016 we will be at war with Iran by the spring. And I’m sure there will be an “attack” to justify it.
15The only terrorists in this country are white and have a Bible in their hands, not a Koran.
Every presidential candidate should have to commit his/her own recruitment aged child to the military prior to speaking about sending someone else’s child to fight and die, or perhaps worse fight and live with the horrors of war in their brains. Our family has a long history of service from both men and women, and we just aren’t that keen on old white guys ginning up new wars to kill kids. Even little scraps of metal and little ribbons on metals is not enough to compensate for what war does to individuals.
