They Can Kiss My Big Blue Butt

You know what? Republicans can kiss my big blue butt.

They are blaming Wendy Davis for the 3rd special session and demanding that she should pay for it.

Dudes, quit attacking women. Just quit it.

Everything is her fault

After spending their first special session watching State Sen Wendy Davis’ (D) marathon filibuster and their second passing the abortion restrictions Davis was fighting against, the Texas legislature is back for a third session. Now, they need to handle the transportation measure that was the motivation for the original special session, before they got sidetracked with anti-abortion legislation.

Unfortunately for the state’s taxpayers, the extra time will cost them an additional $2.4 million. But one lawmaker has an idea for who should foot part of that bill: Davis herself.

Both the special sessions are because Lt. Governor David Dewhurst didn’t put the transportation bill before the filibuster. So if Republicans say that Dewhurst’s lack of planning and intelligence are Wendy Davis’ fault, they better be prepared to prove that she’s his Momma.

Everybody out there, go find something orange to wear today and if somebody asks you why the fool tarnation you’re wearing an orange scarf with a pink shirt, tell them, “Because Republicans in the Texas Legislature need a good thump upside the head and since I ain’t close enough to do it myself I’m passing along the message.”

Okay, orange shirt on check list. If you don’t have one, go to the nearest thrift store. I got a pretty good one there for $3. The Travis County Democratic Party had them awhile back; maybe they still do.

and isn’t it kind of refreshing to have someone besides Obama to blame?

I say, let them keep attacking Wendy, keep her name in the papers. Its all free political ads for when she runs for Governor.
I have been very proud of her reaction to all this mess, she is smart, classy, and has an opinion! I’m going to be just like her when I grow up.

    Bill Dewhurst.

I hope these Texas penny pinchers will now send a memo to John Boehner saying he’s next. We want our $50 Million back from Boehner who allowed the 40 votes to repeal Obamacare to come up.

Just when you think they cannot get any meaner or more evil, they prove you wrong.

  6. “Both the special sessions are because Lt. Governor David Dewhurst didn’t put the transportation bill before the filibuster.” Or rather, didn’t put it before bringing up the anti-abortion bills, probably for fear that they would run out of time and into another filibuster before they got around to trampling on women’s rights. This is the real problem with our Legislature: Things that need to get done aren’t getting done because the idiots are hell-bent on keeping women in their place.

  7. Hell, just let them try! The lawsuit would go to a higher court where the judges would use it for target practice!

Repugnants are fools! But they’re not foolin’ some of us! If you have a Twitter account, follow TXLegeBills, and it’s easy to see that they spend an unbelievable amount of time on stoopid, frivolous “bills” congratulating people on the damnedest (sorry mama!) things! Have a look-see for yourself! I think Dewrag should foot the bill for all 3 — and counting? — special sessions of the 83rd Lege!

  9. @Lorraine in Spring – according to the GOP, it would be Obama that should pick up that $50M tab.

This reminds me of the GOP legislator that tried making women pay for their own rape kits.

    9
  10. Hippie Cowboy, the congratulation things are usually resolutions, not bills (HR, not HB). They go to committee for investigation, but I think they are automatically passed once they hit the floor. They are a courtesy to taxpayers. All you have to do is ask for one and provide documentation of the reason for the request.

    10
  11. Cheryl, didn’t Sarah Pallin a/k/a Sock Puppet pull that stunt, too, when she was Governor?

    11
  12. Yes, she did.

    12
  13. If the Republican leaders don’t want taxpayers to foot the bill for the 3rd special session, maybe they shouldn’t have had taxpayers pay for that 2nd special session. Or their 1st special session.

    13
  14. Sam in Kyle says:

I’m still waiting for them to pay for the special session where they passed illegal redistricting. Perhaps the bill for that one should to to Tom DeLay and Bill Hammonds of the TAB

    14
  15. Republican leadership in both house and senate mismanged the calendar and the floor action. They are just trying to hide the egg on their ugly faces.

    15
  16. @Cheryl, I’m sure the rape kit matter occurred while Palin was mayor of Wasilla, not when she was governor.

Wendy did not do anything wrong; she had a right to filibuster. Dewrong should be very afraid of trying collect from her since he was the one who broke the rules.

  17. Corinne Sabo says:

The Icky One has a lot of money in his campaign account that cannot be used in a federal campign. Since he called the 3 specials, bill HIM.

  18. I had just read about this at HuffPo and thought to myself that I had better run over to the beauty salon. Sure enough, there was a post about it here. Thanks so much for a better take on it than HuffPo had.

  19. Katie Johnsonius says:

I’ve been wondering when someone would mention the cost to the taxpayers of a “special session.” To my simple mind, there was nothing “special” about it. It was just a very expensive effort to take the wind out of Wendy.

TOTALLY irresponsible governance. Expensive governance for spite.

Charge Wendy for the cost??!! NO! Charge Governor Good-Hair. Or Dimple-A$$ Dewhurst. It was a frivolous and vicious waste of taxpayers’ money in order to expand male egos while they stripped half the tax-payers in the state of their Constitutional rights.

  20. TexasEllen says:

Dewhurst is in sad need of a time-out. His scheduling skills probably have him missing his meds, going to church on Tuesday, trying to renew his driver’s license on Sunday, and reading the morning paper after supper.
