The Twitter

Trump is Twittering today —

This is from the same guy who hired a private investigator to go to Hawaii to find Present Barack Obama’s birth certificate?

And, hey, aren’t 17 women accusing you of harassment?

This is from the same guy who watched people chant, “Jews will not replace us,” and then said they were “very fine people.”

  1. She apologized. That’s more than the GOP does. They need to clean their own house first.

  2. Jane & PKM says:

IQ45 prior to driving his Atlantic City casino into bankruptcy had this ironic praise for Jews, slamming both blacks and Jews in one ugly moment: he didn’t want the black man counting the casino money, so would someone find him a Jew to count his money. As a Jew (non-practicing variety) it is mystifying to have a bigoted gentile like Donnie goy’splain to me that I am a “self hating Jew” because I differentiate between anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism. Oy veh, yeah Jughead Kushner will bring peace to the Middle East on the backs of the Palestinians like that’s going to work.

So now IQ45 thinks he understands better than Rep. Ilhan Omar, a Somali-American about strife. Obviously. The burden of inherited millions made Donnie the arbiter of life as the oppressed. Hell, he even sucks at playing victim … too much whining.

I ponder… why Trump hasn’t dashed to the defense of the Jewish judge that was and is dealing with right wingers rifle scope cross hairs targeting her on their anti-Semitic news providers/web pages and by Roger Stone’s in tandem with his Proud Boy entourage even now. She’s a member of ‘both sides’ who are Trump’s nice people. Trump seriously thinks the Jewish demographic will fawn at his feet and reward him with Kosher kugel if he pretends their agenda is his?

By the way, it must be Dec 25 somewhere…Roger Stone’s judge filed a response to Stone’s request for clarity. LOL!! He’s playing this out like a child who is told don’t touch that cake so instead…bites it and proclaims punishment is inappropriate because hands never touched it. https://tinyurl.com/yy2ks4bf

  4. The D’s have to STOP playing thuglican game of wedge politics by attacking Rep. Omar.
They showed more support for meadows blatantly racist stunt while questioning cohen then they do for Rep. Omar.
Not to mention another thuglicans tweet where referring to communications between 2 Jewish members/advisors used the dollar sign instead of an “S” when spelling their names but he skates.
The fact that she is a Woman of color who happens to be Muslim might encourage those to attack her.
For the D’s to join in is unexcuseable and self defeating.

Now to be clear my perspective is that the only difference between a religion ( any religion) and a cult is a religion has scammed more people for more money for a longer time.
They are all scams. But if the delusional want to believe in a magic man in the sky that is just a sign of their need for an excuse for their desire to feel “special” and offer some cover for bad behavior.
As long as they don’t expect me to give them any respect for their fantasies or intrude upon my life so be it.
So I believe all fantasies should be treated equally (with scorn)
But to claim rightousness in one delusion while using that supposedly justified rightousness to attack other delusional people for their belief is inane. That is Monty Python territory.

  5. Lunargent says:

The text of today’s sermon comes from the Gospel of Bill and Ted.

    “Be excellent to each other.”

    Amen.

  6. Sam in St Paul says:

Ilhan Omar’s district starts on the other side of the street where I live. She’s a class act and not Anti-Semitic. She feels, as do an increasing number of Democrats, that Israel is held to a different standard than other countries which allows them to mistreat Palestinians with impunity.
The whole Anti-Semitic argument is continually used to thwart any criticism of Israel’s actions. I’m sorry to see some Democrats falling for it too.

  7. Buttermilk Sky says:

The official WH account put out a tweet today that read, in its entirety: “America!”

I was reminded of “2001” when HAL begins to die, except that was sad. This is terrifying.

  8. For those already claiming “Witch hunt”/ Dem overreach, some necessary perspective: Republicans issued 1,285 subpoenas throughout the Senate’s Whitewater and campaign finance investigations into the Clinton White House.

  9. Some of the things Ilhan Omar said touch on Jewish stereotypes about money and world control. I’ve heard similar things from non-Jewish friends and relatives for years and usually just let it go. Those tropes are common enough, that Ilhan Omar is probably unaware that she has internalized them. I trust that she will learn to be more careful in the wording of her otherwise legitimate criticisms of the AIPAC lobby and Israeli. Except for where she dipped into old Jewish stereotypes, I generally agree with her overall criticisms of AIPAC and the Neanyahu government.

“This is from the same guy who watched people (ALMOST ALL WEARING READ MAGA HATS) chant, “Jews will not replace us,” and then said they were “very fine people.””

  11. Pancho Sanza says:

As long as Steve King remains in Congress, I want all of you hand-wringers to STFU about Rep. Omar’s inoffensive comments. She said NOTHING anti-Semitic whatsoever.

Also, just the other day Jim Jordan tweeted about “George $oros” using a dollar sign in his name.

Remember who the real enemy is, people.
