…The Truth About Men
This past Thursday’s news about the gubernatorial race in North Carolina is the stuff that one dreams of in this new world of barbecued cats and flying projectiles.
Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson of North Carolina – who was already quite a piece of work – got his sordid pre-political sexual proclivities disclosed in the National Nightly News.
Far be it from I to judge how a man engages in self stimulation of the sexual kind, but when hypocrisy is involved, Let There Be Light (as the Bible says).
You can read all about it here and here, I really don’t want to enumerate all of the revelations of internet activities by #minisoldr, Robinson’s handle in porn site comments areas, because I already took my shower this morning, thank you very much.
I just have one question: There are comments areas on porn sites? Really? How does that work? And more to the point, WHO DOES THAT?
Robinson’s poll numbers are looking pretty awful as we pass the 7 week mark until 11/5. Before all of these revelations, he was trailing his Democratic opponent, NC Attorney General Josh Stein, by between 5 and 13 percent. Now it’s anyone’s guess how badly he will lose his race.
But the icing on this cake is that The Bronzer Bombshell is absolutely depending on a win in North Carolina. What is TFG going to do when the name of this guy that he endorsed appears right below his own, on the ballots that are being mailed just as I poke this post into my phone?
North Carolina isn’t even a Swing State. Well, not that kind of swing, anyway. But this old quote from author/activist John Stoltenberg just might correctly summarize this whole tawdry business:
Pornography tells lies about women. But pornography tells the truth about men.
We’ve been watching this unfold here in the Old North State with something akin to disbelief. While one generally expects that the louder the denouncing of others, the greater the likelihood that the denouncer is guilty of far worse, the current revelations approach mind-blowing proportions.
I’m waiting for his signs to disappear from roadways around here. I just hope this keeps his supporters home from the polls, because his sidekick running for Lt. Gov. is even worse…
1My daughter lives in NC. She has a super demanding job (12 hr days 6 days a week) so I hate to nag her about how important it is for her to vote…but I do it anyway! Other kid is in DC so honestly it’s not like her vote will be determining anything, nor (probably) will ours in TX. Of course we’ll all be sure to vote. But NC kid, that one really matters!
2Jill Ann@2. It matters in Texas, too.
Beto got 48+% of the vote against Cruz.
Here’s hoping people who vote D, do vote. Yes, I understand the gerrymandering. And the money spent to convince many it is a useless endeavor. It’s time for democrats in Texas to call BS and get themselves to the polls. What was the turnout for SJL in the runoff for mayor of Houston race? IIRC, the runoff had a 17% turnout elect the developers candidate Whitmire.
3Actually, we can’t read ‘all about it here and here,’ as CNN has refused to publish what its anchors describe as too disgusting. It may be that some Internet sleuths have done so, I have not searched for that.
Somebody should. Them as wants to read it then could. But if we require voters to be adults, we should treat them as adults.
I am prepared to believe the worst about Robinson but I refuse to believe he is bad because some talking head said so.
4I try to imagine the interaction between someone proclaiming he’s a black Nazi to a group of genuine Nazis. He shouldn’t be surprised at how quickly things turn bad, but I guess that’s how delusion works.
5Guess it’s time for Robinson to call for some heavy hitter help in his campaign. Maybe he can get the Gaetzter to come up from floriduh to stump for him. Also maybe he can get another visit from the orange rapist. Loomer can be by his side.
6RE #3 and TX and Beto:
This time Colin Allred is ahead of Cancún Ted?
“The survey, conducted by Morning Consult between September 9 and 18, showed Allred one point ahead of Cruz, on 45 percent to his 44 percent among 2,716 likely voters. His lead was within the poll’s margin of error of +/-2 percentage points.”

7Fingers crossed that people will vote this time. Trump will come in here big time if they think there is a slim chance that ass kisser is threatened.
8Robinson’s campaign manager, deputy campaign manager, political director, director of operations, and finance director have all resigned. I wonder why?
