The Ta-Ta Overload

Self-loathing is not pretty and that kinda explains Phyllis Schlafly’s hairdo.

Screen Shot 2015-01-12 at 9.06.52 AMPhyllis has been hating women since at least 1965 and instead of getting another hobby, she’s got that whole hooter-hater thing floored in neutral.

Phyllis is concerned about rape on college campuses but she’s got the cause figured out:  all those pert little booties.

The imbalance of far more women than men at colleges has been a factor in the various sex scandals that have made news in the last couple of years.

Too many women are going to college. And that should not be.

But, Phyllis has some solutions:  (1) only admitting 50% boys and 50% girls, eliminating all the spare ta-tas, (2) stopping college loans so students don’t have time to think about … you know … stuff, (3) or “reinstate all the men’s sports that were canceled by an extremist feminist application of Title IX.”  Yeah, I quoted that last one because I knew you wouldn’t believe it.

The feminists have abolished more than 2,200 men’s college sports teams since 1981, such as wrestling, gymnastics, track, golf and even some football in order to limit the number of male players to Title IX guidelines.

Yep.  Not enough golf is the #1 cause of rape.

But she ain’t finished on that deep pondering —-

The popularity of the new college football playoff system illustrates how successful men’s college sports can be for participants and fans alike. But when colleges eliminate men’s sports, women are hurt by the resulting gender imbalance in enrollment.

Oh dear Lord in a bowl of bean dip, that makes my head hurt.  So, Phyllis is saying that men only go to college to play sports.  And if sports aren’t available, all that’s left is rape.  Okay.  Well, I guess that explains the Republican congress.

Lemme start again.  Phyllis doesn’t just hate women – that woman hates everydamnbody.

  1. If only Ms. Schlafly had ever bothered to take her own advice for women and stay at home and shut up.

Yet another case of Republican rules only applying to others.

Phyllis is 90 now. Her marbles have long since dribbled out of her bag and rolled down the street.

    2 + 2 = 5?

  4. Polite Kool Marxist says:

Golf? There’s a connection between golf and the need for testosterone enhancement? You don’t know how happy that makes me, knowing that playing baseball in college saved my gohmerts.

As for the beach, which is an absolute hooter heaven, minus the occasional beached blanket whale, let’s check the bar list. Yep, just as I thought, the drink is “sex on the beach,” not ‘rape’ on the beach.

“Oh dear Lord in a bowl of bean dip, that makes my head hurt.” True dat, Mrs. B. There’s no way to parse Phyllis Schlafly. Scary part is that she’s not dead and already that crazy judge, Pirro or Spiro, on Faux not the News is the reincarnation of Phyl’s tongue.

  5. Old Mayfly says:

During the ’60s I thought of Phyllis Schlafly as

“that woman who flies all over American giving speeches that instruct other women to shut up and stay home.”

Put a sock in it, Phyllis.

    5
  6. Schools could have responded to Title IX by just spending more on women’s athletics instead of spending less on men’s. All Title IX requires is equality.

    6
  7. Huh. To me, she looks like Pat Robertson in drag. Maybe they’re the same person. Same wack-a-doodle logic.

    7
  8. e platypus onion says:

She of the gay son she wouldn’t acknowledge. Beginning to think wingnut gods are rilly personal demons.

    8
  9. e platypus onion says:

One wingnut that won’t need to be embalmed. Burnt at the stake would suit her.

    9
  10. I look at Phyllis and all I can think of is bitter pill.

    10
  11. Uncle Dave says:

Everyone should give Phyllis a break. She has a point. She went to college, and what did it do for her? Plus fewer coeds means fewer coeds that can be raped. Logic is logic!

    11
  12. shortpeople says:

That face says sittin’ on a fork while suckin’ on a lemon.

    12
  13. As my mama used to say, Lord help us and be with us. The race is running out!

    13
  14. It does not matter if some woman in the middle of campus strips naked and does a pool dance!!! NO ONE has the right to rape her or anyone else.
People like Phyllis are a mystery to me. But SELF-HATE is as close to a good reason as I have heard. She probably has a jesus shaped vibrator too, that way she can say she is pleasured by jesus.

  15. Marge Wood says:

Remember when the history curriculum committee in Texas textbooks insisted they had to remove Jefferson and include Phyllis Schafly? I showed that to a friend with a history degree and she said, “Who’s that?”

    15
  16. Miss Prissybritches says:

Everytime that ding-a-ling opens her mouth, it is like waving a red cape in front of a bull to me. Steam roars out of my nose and ears.

    16
  17. San Fraser says:

I am considering retghinking my stance on an afterlife just in case that old woman would have to meet her maker or better yet, the many women whose lives she tried to destroy. She fits the “demon” description so well. Maybe a reincarnation thing where she has to return as a very poor man, or a woman such as she wanted to destroy. Sadly, I can’t even wish that on her.

    17
  18. Oh dear, they’re all coming back out of the woodwork again.
I thought she was as dead as her ideas.

    18
  19. Marge Wood says:

Oh honey. She is just part of the root system. Note Dan Patrick. Hold on tight. Pick your battles carefully. You know.

    19
  20. Tangential I know.
When I see how much the big universities in Texas pay for athletics – Texas, Texas A&M, Tech, even UNT – I twist off. If I had my druthers there would be NO athletics at state universities, Why should I as a taxpayer fund the developmental leagues for the NFL and the NBA, two privately owned and rich out the a$$ organizations?? Uf Title IX closed some football or basketball programs, tough tookie. It didnt close enough.

    20
  21. Who unlocked the crypt and let Schlafly totter out?

    21
  22. Older but inn no way wiser. She’s the same useless wad of DNA she always was. Sound harsh? She has been more of a blockade against women than a good number of men. Cannot figure her out.

    22
  23. shortpeople says:

Regarding the fly lady’s disdain for women and support policies that limit their options, she achieved things in a male dominated world that deserve respect. She feels, quite rightly, that she earned the respect, and, to some degree, the admiration, of her male peers. She was, in her own mind, special. If other women have the same opportunities to thrive and achieve, her own achievements will seem less special. She’s protecting her own status and ego.

    23
  24. RepubAnon says:

The most interesting thing is that Phyllis has come out in support of a quota-based affirmative action program, under which 50% of all college admitees would have to be male.

It’s also amusing that she claims that too many women on campus leads to abuse. I’ll bet she also blames sex-selective abortions in India (with the resulting shortage of women) for the sexual abuse over there. But then, she’s a Republican – consistent viewpoints and logic aren’t part of that culture.

    24
  25. Polite Kool Marxist says:

Micr, it’s not tangential in view of the NBA and NFL stadiums built on the taxpayer dime. The takes pay little or no taxes, contribute nothing to the infrastructure and whine like sPhyllis, when we are so rude as to point out the simple math.

Conflation and deflection are just two of the tools in the bucket of shiny objects to distract the GOP base. Can’t really gin up any enthusiasm for a chorus of “die, Phyllis die,” when there’s a steady stream of her spawn like Ann Coulter, Pirro and all the Fox bimbos to name just a few.

    25
  26. JAKvirginia says:

Intro to Rape? Is that a 3-credit course? What are the pre-requisites? I must have missed that in my college catalog. But that was way back in the 70’s. College’s are just too progressive these days. Or maybe too regressive?

    26
  27. Marge Wood says:

i’m curious. What has Dan Patrick done that is noteworthy? I mean, seriously.

    27
  28. Old Mayfly says:

Polite Kool Marxist is right on target (as usual) re the NBA and NFL stadiums.

As the saying goes when trying to solve a crime: “Who profits?” (I’d quote that in Latin if I could remember how to spell it correctly.)

    28
  29. Polite Kool Marxist says:

Old Mayfly, qui prodest? Or, sequere pecunia (follow the money.) Life was tough for a Jewish boy in a Catholic kindergarten, but I remember a little despite the whacks on my knuckles.

As for being on target, with a little help from our friend Micr who began that conversation.

    29
  30. My friend Tengrain calls Phyllis Schlafly an ancient hate goblin. Which I consider a near-perfect description of this horrible excuse for a human being.

    30
  31. elise von holten says:

I am so so sorry to hear she is still amongst us. The opposite of made my day.
    Sigh.
How long must we suffer these fools?
Most of my friends are 15-20 years older than me and have had the good fortune to be upper middle class and be healthy. If any were to die soon it would be a great sadness for not only their families but people they have helped over the years.
I do not feel that way about Republican elders. I feel like they need to go and go quickly, so that the young and the planet have a chance. She is one of the worst examples of a female human I know of.

    31
  32. Don A in Pennsyltucky says:

I suspect that ole Phyllistine is one of those wimmens that went to Collich to get a “MRS” degree and enjoyed it so much that she stayed on for Law Skool so she could practice in a small town near Alton, IL.

    32
  33. bill who remembers says:

Ah, yes, Phyllis. Does anyone else remember when she said that the U.S. should get out of Viet Nam, back in the ’60s? Read her book “Strike From Space”.

    33
  34. Cui bono? Old Mayfly.

    34
  35. “Who profits” in Latin? Cui bono. (It’s a double-dative construction. Literally, “to whom for a good.”)

    Pronunciation: kooee bohnoh.

    35
  36. gabberflasted says:

PKM in #25. I saw what you did there and I applaud. Very good.
