In a large case of Oops, Never Mind, the State of Florida has finished an 9 month of investigation of “rampant” voter fraud in their state. They needed to justify their new restrictive Voter ID laws.
So, they did find some cases. Two cases to be exact.
Oh, and the kicker? The two cases consisted of two voter registration forms fraudulently filled out by a man who worked for the Republican party. He admitted to stealing the identity of his former girlfriend’s ex-husband and filling out the two forms.
Well, the number of cases might increase considering two more cases do remain open, though it’s clear Governor Scott has moved on from this investigation.
I think a solution much better than restrictive Voter ID might be to not let Republicans vote.
And while we’re in Florida, there’s this precious little nugget.
A “hometown campaign kickoff” at a waterfront home in Tampa for Attorney General Pam Bondi is scheduled for the same night that Gov. Rick Scott had once set as the execution date for Death Row inmate Marshall Lee Gore. The execution was moved to a later date at Bondi’s request.
Wait a minute! Wait a minute! An execution is a downer at a Florida Republican political fundraiser? Florida is damn wimpy. Hell, in Texas they’d move the execution to the fundraiser and double the “suggestion donation” price.

Ummm, actually I’m surprised that it wasn’t carried out immediately just to free up the entire social calendar.

4I’d like to see someone put together the data from all the “voter fraud” investigations, because it seems that every time I read a report, the frauds are all or mostly Republicans.
And nobody seems to care about the possibility of hacking the voting machines, which could change a heck of a lot more votes than a few fake names on voter cards. And most of the machines are made by R-owned companies.
5It figures the Repugs are the ones committing the voter fraud. It was their big idea to lock in the vote for Romney by making it harder for Dems to vote. When that didn’t work, they switched to Plan B: fraud.

7Rhea, you are correct. The greatest threat is the rigging of voting machines. If it hasn’t already happened, it will happen in the future.

9My husband says it DID happen and they got caught and that’s why Karl Rove had a s—fit on Fox.
If they had an R fundraiser in Texas that coincided with an execution they’d show it on a big screen teevee! Abbott would love it!
