The Roadmap

June 14, 2022 By: El Jefe Category: 2020 Election, Corruption, The Big Lie

Those of us who are paying attention to the January 6th Committee woke up yesterday to the strategy of these public hearings; well, at least I did.  The committee is clearly taking direct aim at TFG, heaping loads of evidence on the facts that he KNEW that he didn’t win; he KNEW there was no fraud that would change the outcome of any state result; HE whipped up The Big Lie and repeats it continuously, even today.  We all pretty much knew or suspected that all this lay at TFG’s feet.

However, all this evidence is hard to use to get TFG convicted, much less even charged, so the committee is giving prosecutors a roadmap to get this sumbitch.  This roadmap is not going down the insurrection road; it shows the way down the wire fraud road.  Testimony revealed yesterday that using The Big Lie TFG raised a QUARTER OF A BILLION DOLLARS for the “Election Defense Fund”, which, wait for it…doesn’t and has never existed.  The Election Defense Fund was supposedly to be used to fight election fraud lawsuits, but the money didn’t go to that activity.  It went, instead, to TFG’s Super PAC, doled out to his hotels, family, and even Jr.’s girlfriend.  That’s wire fraud.  So now we have not only The Big Lie, we have The Big Grift.

There is clear and ample evidence that TFG and his cronies defrauded millions of supporters, and the good thing about this crime is that the attorneys general in the states where the donors live can also prosecute TFG.  On top of all the possible federal cases you can name, this wire fraud charge is serious with heavy penalties and up to 30 years in the slammer.  The states have similar penalties.

The committee is drawing the roadmap with turn-by-turn directions, making it easy for the feds to go after TFG and Corruption Inc..  If Garland lacks the will to prosecute, I know a bunch of states with aggressive AGs who would likely be happy to perp walk TFG live on television.

  1. Nick Carraway says:

I remember an older Law and Order when Jack McCoy’s character was being fleshed out. A woman had been involved in a murder as a radical during the 1960s and early 1970s and since been underground and rehabilitated as a respectable housewife. The question came down to how much you should punish someone that was no longer a danger to society.

McCoy even made the comment to his assistant that she just didn’t understand because she hadn’t lived through the 1960s. Eventually she was charged and the pleaded out to something like ten years. McCoy’s last words were, “I hope the 60s are over by then.”

Too many people have been hurt, swindled, and ruined by this man. I’m not sure any justice system is equipped to adequately meter out a punishment that is appropriate. If he and his cohorts were to be given similar sentences I don’t know that I’d be happy. Again, I’m not sure what true justice would even look like. However, maybe that would be enough time for us to heal. Maybe that would be enough time for MAGA to go away.

Bring charges for sedition. Biden pardons. A pardon acceptance is also a guilty plea. No longer eligible for office. done and done.

  3. As I have posted here before, RICO the whole gang of SOBs.

I would love to see TFG’s final years on this planet filled with being hounded by one court case after another, a gradual whittling away of his money, and going from President to official clown of the political process.

  5. The white supremacists arrested in Idaho on Saturday wholeheartedly support Combover Crime Lord, and they’re just the tip of the iceberg. If three percent is an accurate number, that still represents nearly 10 million people. One percent represents more people than are in the actual U.S. military. Given those numbers, we have a godawful lot of work to do to erase this stain on the national fabric, and it can’t start by throwing CCL in the clink for something like tax evasion or grifting.

I usually try to see things in terms of whether they’re real existential threats. Climate change is one such thing, as it could bring an end to civilization as we know it. But sometimes something comes up that we must deal with immediately, and this is such a thing. I say, bring on the indictments and let the chips fall where they may.

And despite all this, there are still folks who send him money, buy his junk and swear fealty to him. I just don’t understand that!

  7. Steve from Beaverton says:

We all agree TFFG needs to be held accountable criminally and civilly. After following the Jan hearings, especially after yesterday, I would add indictments for felony inciting a riot. Since people were killed, add manslaughter for TFFG and his coconspirators. They should also be sued civilly for every dollar they have left. The proof has already been laid out with no room for reasonable doubt.
But as we know, the orange buffoon claimed he could kill someone on 5th Ave and nothing would happen to him, and that’s where we’re at. Don’t forget he could grab them in p…y and nothing would happen. He’s the teflon donald until the DOJ proves him wrong.

It reminds me that they way the Feds shut down Al Capone was getting him for tax evasion. I don’t really care how they get him….they just need to get it done.

  9. Grandma, it’s called The True Breliver. Once hooked, it is damn hard to get unhooked. How do you get hooked? Well, there’s this thing in human beings that insists on “berlonging”. For some, belonging is one up over oxygen. I will never forget what Eric Hoffer said about this in his book The True Believer. I’ve got to finfd my old cfopy. Its worth reading again, especially now a days.
