The Question of the Month

October 19, 2021 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Okay, so Texas Monthly, a magazine that takes itself far more seriously than anyone else does, asks the political question of the Month —

They wrote pretty near 10,000 words about it and gave DeSantis a 6 – 0 lead.

But, the honest and real answer?  Trump.

No surprise that Texas Monthly takes it easy on Greg Abbott. Hell, they pull their punches on Dan Patrick. I remember, decades ago, when TM was a respectable periodical. It’s been a long time since that era.

And the losers- well many of them are dead. Does the texas monthly mention anything about that?

  4. So it’s kind of like Arizona Highways but with ugly politicians instead of rock sculpture and canyons?
    Is it very expensive?

It’s been a long time since I’ve seen Texas Monthly. Do they still have the bum steer awards?

Yes, but they are not as funny as they used to be. Like I said, they take themselves very seriously.

After 37 years in Lubbock, which was a great place to live and raise our kids, we retired and moved to Alabama where I grew up. I never thought that I would see the day when Alabama would seem more rational than Texas, but here we are.

OT but if the doj gives Bannon a pass, they can kiss this Jan 6 house investigation goodbye. In fact the precedence will be long lasting. It may be campaign fodder for repugnanticans, but this cannot stand. And trumpf associates should be charged with treason including members of Congress if they’re found to be complicit.

  10. OT, but we just watched Raise Hell: The Life & Times of Molly Ivins on Hulu.
Apparently it came out in 2019.
    It’s great.

I think with or without cooperation, the January 6 commission will expose lots of awful stuff and it needs to be tied to every GOP candidate!
