The Long, Slow Death of Newt Gingrich

April 14, 2019 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Newt’s political relevance has hit bottom and keeps digging.

The one constant is that he’s still stiffing his creditors.

That’s a whole bunch of red numbers for a guy who claims fiscal responsibility.

But the interesting thing is that he no longer reports any income from renting his e-mail list. The last time it generated any money was last April when it produced an anemic $340.

Only five years ago, In 2014, his e-mail list was still generating half a million dollars a quarter.

Newt supporters – like Trump supporters – die every day.  Nobody wants to buy a list of dead people.

Too bad. So sad.

Thanks to Alfredo over at the Dairy Queen for the heads up.

I look forward to the bankruptcy hearings, and watching Newt apply for food stamps.

  2. I was planning to save this ditty from a article comment on the increasing stench of the undrained PSYCHOTUS swamp. I guess road kill Newt begs for his very own dirge. I claim no credit and any due goes to the original poster.

Dead Skunk in the middle of the road.

  3. Megasoid @ 2,

Riddle: What’s the difference between road kill and a politician?

Answer: Skidmarks before the flattened critter.

  4. @Papa Outstanding and absolutely true.

    ( :- {P> Whew!

  5. Newt who?

    5
  6. I missed the list of sums spent on Calista’s jewelry. Newtie’s treasurer is appropriately named Taylor Swindle. As frequently said, you can’t make this stuff up.

Wonder what Pope Francis thinks of the sordid past of the SOBOTUS appointed “US Ambassador To The Holy See” Callista Gingrich and her longtime lover and now spouse Newtie?

Note that their SIX year affair started in 1993 (guess who was President then‽) before their marriage, while Newt was still married to wife #2 until 2000.
The affair began when Callista was a ~27y/o Congressional intern (ahem..⸮‽), and Newt was a ~50y/o Congresscritter (leading the “Contract on America” and ‘Republican Revolution’). With an age difference of 23 years, Callista was slightly more than half of Newt’s age.
Gee, wasn’t WJC impeached during that same affair time period for messing around with a younger intern¿⸮‽
Today, Callista is 53 and Newtie is 75…

Ahhh… those holy and sacred Republikkkan ‘Family Values’ ⸮‽

    “Personal life
Callista Bisek met Newt Gingrich in 1993 when he was House Minority Whip and she was working in the office of Congressman Steve Gunderson.[36] Callista testified in 1999 as part of Gingrich’s divorce proceedings that the couple began a six-year affair in 1993 while Newt was married to his second wife, Marianne.[37][38] Newt divorced Marianne in December 1999, and on August 18, 2000, Callista and Newt were married in a private ceremony in Alexandria, Virginia.[2] In 2002, Newt Gingrich asked the Catholic Archdiocese of Atlanta to annul his 19-year marriage to Marianne on the basis that she had been previously married.[39] Callista, a lifelong Catholic, was instrumental in her husband’s conversion to that faith in 2009.[40] The Gingriches live in McLean, Virginia.[7] ”

Good ol’ Newtie’s pretty good at that ‘overdrawn’ stuff:

“The House banking scandal and Congressional Post Office scandal were emblems of the exposed corruption. Gingrich himself was among members of the House who had written NSF checks on the House bank. He had overdrafts on twenty-two checks, including a $9,463 check to the Internal Revenue Service in 1990.[41]”

Appointing this woman as ambassador to the
Vatican was a huge insult to the Pope and Catholics everywhere. The fact that her husband dares to
show his face there or anywhere is revolting.

Between Flush, Faux Corp, and this serial philanderer, I have watched partisanship flourish and intelligent conservatism wither (and die?). Patriots this lot are not…

  10. Wellllll with bannon’s ongoing war on the current ‘too liberal’ pope, perhaps an insult via appointing the ‘family values’ Gingrich pair was the point. bannon might be out of the WH but his love affair with Orange feces has not ended. I bet the feeling is mutual.

  11. He just can’t figure it out, can he!

  12. Craig Waters says:

    Dear Miss Juanita,

Would it be possible for Alfredo to give a seminar on how to look this stuff up?

    12
  13. The Surly Professor says:

Craig Waters: I also vote for an Alfredo seminar. We don’t want to cut into his turf, just that sometimes more eyes lead to more discoveries. In any case, we should buy Alfredo an extra large blizzard at the DQ.

Megasoid@2: strange coincidence, I also hunted down that song just two weeks ago since my wife had never heard it. When it came out in the 1970s, my friends called it the Song of the Road to Denton, since the whole stretch between Fort Worth and Denton just reeked to high, high heaven!
