The Katy, Texas, Police Officers Association
They are having a lottery.
I hope none of them get attacked by a guy with an AR-15. I really do.
It was posted on Facebook two weeks after the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting.
Katy Police Officer’s Association main goal is to make the officers tasks easier and safer by purchasing those items that are not normally budgeted, fund crime prevention events, and youth sponsorships for the Katy area.
Maybe the best way to keep cops and kids safe is to ban assault rifles. Just maybe.
Thanks to Sue for the heads up.
“It can’t happen here.”
That’s probably what the folks in Sutherland Springs, Texas thought before a gunman entered their small Baptist church one Sunday morning.
They could still offer a gun as a prize in their raffle, why not a hunting rifle?
1Sheesh. At least you have to pass a background check to win the AR-15. I hope it’s a stringent one. These folks appear to be slow learners. The Katy, Texas, Police Officers Association shouldn’t be making the gun problem worse.
2Obviously only “good guys” would be going to a police association fish fry. No chance any of them would be, say, a domestic abuser or under more pressure at work than they can handle or be careless about leaving that thing where their disturbed teenager can get it.
3“Support your loco police!” JBS
4Just a staggering level of stupidity and denial of reality. Seriously how can people continue to be so dense? It continues, TX is deeply infected but not area is totally immune.
5Contrary to what you wish, I hope some doodoo head DOES open fire. With that exact same extended penis substitute. Lesson learned.
6Maybe
Absolutely no reason for that one particular item to be in a lottery of all things! Isn’t there a Police association somewhere that can sit on these people and make them listen to good old fashioned common sense?
7Stupid prize. Most of these folks already own an assault weapon or three. I guess the thought is “who WOULDN’T want another AR-15?”
8Lless wins!
9*grins*
10The only prize on there that I’d really want would be the $500 to HEB! Those groceries would come in handy!
Maggie … Common Sense? I believe that left the good ole USofA a long time ago!!
