My inbox yesterday had an email from Ted Cruz denouncing mandates as well as Joe Biden’s political theater. It took what would be a two pages single spaced letter to moan and groan about the variant, masks and mandates. By the time he could have signed it I’m sure he was clutching his pearls. This must be the new thrust of the GOPers – send emails complaining over and over and over . . .

When someone is infected,
symptoms begin 2-14 days later. 80% are “mild,” recovery by day 16.
Symptoms +7 days in result in about 20% with symptoms bad enough to need medical care. Most of those (14% of infected) require hospitalization. The other 6% are worse, requiring ICU care.
With cases rising, hospitalizations will follow in a week, ICUs will fill 3 or 4 days after that, Deaths occur on average around symptom +16 days.

16Here in NYC, I work in a federally qualified health center in the South Bronx. My network just mandated that all unvaccinated personnel will have to be tested weekly, at their own expense and on their own time.
C’mon, people, our clients are HIV+. They can’t afford to get sick.
