The Evil of Big Words

July 12, 2015 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Bush

And they call him the smart one.

Jeb Bush says we need a foreign policy with fewer big words.

UnknownBush continued, “Big syllable words and lots of fancy conferences and meetings and – We’re not leading. That creates chaos. It creates a more dangerous world.

You know, we need more little words like “Bring it on!” or if you’e in a big word whirlwind, make sure they are “Mission Accomplished!”

Here’s some more smart —

“This guy — this president and Secretary Clinton and Secretary Kerry – when someone disagrees with their nuanced approach where it’s all kind of so sophisticated it makes no sense. You know what I’m saying?”

Yeah, right, nuanced makes no sense.  This world is black and white and all those other colors make no sense.

The smart one.

Be social and share!

  1. Here we go again. I was so hoping the days were over when the Democratic nominee was called “too smart to get elected.” If that garbage was dragged out again, I said I’d emigrate to some other country where such idiocy was rewarded with the baffled shock it deserves.

Nope, the GOP just keep pandering to the undereducated and the fools who don’t trust anybody who can spell or use words of more than two syllables.

Santorum once said “We will never have the elite, smart people on our side.” Not at this rate.

Unfortunately, as Adlai Stevenson said when told that he had all the intelligent people supporting him, “That’s not enough — we need a majority.”

  2. Is it just me or does Jebya! come across like a old-maid school marm?

He has as much appeal as his mother did speaking of the Superdome inhabitants after Hurricane Katrina.

We really don’t need to hear more from Jebya! He ain’t smart, he’s a Bush.

    2
  3. Well, he is trying to appeal to the ignorant and half-wits: Jeb 2016! Just Embrace the Babble 2016! Leading Americans back into the cave with grunts.

I cannot stand people who feel like they have to say, “You know what I’m saying?” I just want to tell them, “No, fool, we have no idea what you are saying.” He actually doesn’t have much to say, so small words should go well with his useless language.

Wingnut foreign policy has christmas colored themes-red for someone else’s kid’s blood and green as in profit for korporate amerikan backers-who,by the way, aren’t eligible to serve their country because they aren’t rill people when push comes to shove.

  6. Polite Kool Marxist says:

Smartest thing Barabbas Bush ever said: “we’ve had enough Bushes.”

    6
  7. Well, as Dubya said, “Rarely is the questioned asked: is our children learning?”

    7
  8. Jeb! The charisma of Mitt, the ethics of Karl and the brains of Dubya.

I’m reading between the lines, but I suspect that all of these marvelous simple words are expected to be in English. I mean, what do those furriners know about words anyway?

    8
  9. We have to remember that Jeb is not the smart one…

Dubya was a “C” student at Yale that got in with a bribe from Daddy and some of the clout of a “Bonesman.”

Jeb is so dumb that it couldn’t be pulled off to get him into Yale…

in computer geek speak an “!” is called a “bang.”

We don’t need Bush Bang banging us like his brother did!!!

Forrest Gump’s mama taught him well: “Stupid is as stupid does.” Wish Granny bush had as much wisdom to pass on to her intellectually challenged sons.

  12. DonnaAnglin says:

Doesn’t he sound exactly like Sarah Palin? I am amazed that there are two people who can scramble sentences that badly.

    12
  13. Hey, is this a definite right to the jaw of Hillary Clinton, she of a New England college (Wellsley) and law school (Yale)? And she got into both places by herownself! Wow! Frankly, I don’t understand how all the male Bushies ever got past kindergarten.

    13
  14. Jeb and Dubya are living proof that the 1% is more inbred than any hillbilly family from the holler, and that marrying your closest relatives is not a good idea..

    14
  15. daChipster says:

View this against the backdrop of the AP story today: as early as this evening, an agreement will be announced with Iran. Jeb manages to somehow take a strong position on an issue at the exact same time that history breaks the opposite way on the issue.

    What a maroon!

    15
  16. daChipster says:

….and another thing: “This guy -”

    THIS GUY?!?!?

I know that Presidents drop into your family like cat turds drop into sand, but “this guy” is currently President of the United States of America – YOUR President – and you will show respect for the office, if not the man.

His name is President Obama; refer to him as such.

    Good day, sir.

    I said “good day!”

    16
  17. @daChipster, you need not attribute to malice what can be adequately explained by stupidity. Maybe JEB! had a Perry moment and couldn’t remember the President’s name.

Does JEB! get points added or GOP points taken off for using that big word, “sophisticated”?

    17
  18. Bill Golly says:

You have to admit the Republicans are quite effective with a certain segment of our society. I mean if you can get a person to get up off his shag carpet and stumble outside his doublewide and yell “don’t tax the rich” you have accomplished something. What, I do not know, but something.

    18
  19. I just cringe at reading any sentence that contains both “charisma” and the surname Bush. One is the polar opposite of the other. And there are other polar opposites as well, like “honesty”, like “character” like “honor”. What a useless family to have somehow produced two PsOTUS.

    19
  20. Ork!!! I just recalled something. Sonny Bono felt the same way when he was in Congress. Too many big words but mostly too many lawyers using them. Frankly, I think Sonny has it over Jeb. Sonny had talent.

    20
  21. The Gerg says:

He who doesn’t want to seem too intelligent has dumb aspirations.

    21
  22. dan miller says:

I like Eykis moniker for jeb. Let’s hang dubya’s failure to lead onto his brother, jebya!

    22
  23. Old Fart says:

First and foremost: The USA can’t dictate the actions of the rest of the world.

Second: The USA needs to work WITH the rest of the world.

Third: If 1 & 2 are too complicated, then you don’t have an understanding of what is required to be a world leader.

Fourth: Insulting your business partners NEVER will give good results.

Yeah, “Stupid is as stupid does”.

    23
  24. Thank You!!! daChipster@ 16. Exactly!!!

@ Rhea 17, I DO think he meant malice. I think Jebya! and Shrub are deeply offended that that (black) guy is way far the hell smarter and accomplished than they ever dreamed of being.

Also too, does Jebya! not realize he just insulted world leaders by implying THEY can’t do sophisticated and nuanced? That should really help USA-international relations. Geez Louise what A Idiot!!!

    24
  25. Biggomama says:

Intend to spend my free time “Beatin’ the Bushes”.

    JEB?

    DONT MAKE ME LAUGH

    25
  26. “Sonny had talent?” Ask Cher. But maybe he can give Jeb skiing lessons.

    26
  27. Bitter Scribe says:

Hey, at least Jeb! graduated college. Scott Walker, OTOH…
