Variety is reporting that the long used Whitehouse comment line has been shut down and an automated message tells callers to use a non-existent Facebook messenger account. That’s right, public comment can no longer reach into the Oval Office. Fascism comest to America.

7The petition site is still up on WhiteHouse.com/contact. The petition re his taxes has over a quarter million signatures but the one asking him to divest only has 84,000. Needs 100,000 for the WH to respond. Not that you couldn’t write the response yourself.

I tried the line 1-202-456-1111 Friday and got “the White House Comment line is currently closed”. Figured the VOLUNTEERS that staff the lines were off due to the inauguration. ::shrug::
But if the comment line is truly gone, I can’t help but wonder that the trumpkins couldn’t find anyone willing to volunteer to take calls from irate Americans.
10Hmmmm. Hannah, I have a friend who is a White House volunteer to see if she is still on the volunteer list. I was under the impression that volunteers couldn’t be fired inasmuch as they cost nothing and did something. My friend started with the Obama first term and continued on into the second. She says the volunteers were treated very well, including some perks and so forth.
11Maybe nobody wants to volunteer to answer Donnie’s phones…?
12I had the White House app for President Obama. Deleted the app on 20 Jan as I didn’t want it befouling my iPhone. Why does anyone think that traitor trump will allow any petition to the White House to be answered?
